For The Love With Jen Hatmaker Podcast
New York Times bestselling author Jen Hatmaker and her longtime friend, Amy Hardin, have arrived in the middle years — and they couldn’t be happier about it. Each has navigated the ins and outs of life — from careers, to parenting, marriage (and, for Jen, divorce), spiritual evolution, and the joys of being hardcore Gen Xers. With each weekly episode, Jen and Amy serve as our “everywoman” guides to all the seasons — past, present, and future — as they walk excitedly and tenaciously into the second half of life. While Jen and Amy have plenty of wisdom to share — and some pretty hilarious stories, too — they don’t claim to know it all. That's why they invite some of the most interesting and accomplished guests to the podcast, bringing insight, expertise, and understanding to the most relevant topics of our time. From Jen and Amy’s compelling conversations with guests to their witty banter (and the occasional eye-rolls at the absurdities of life), they’re here reassure you that you’re not alone in this game of life. It’s “For the Love” of all that is good, justified, exasperating, exhilarating, real, fun — and so much more.

You have a drinking problem
Maybe you need to have a NO list for 2025 that includes no more booze because girl you look like and sound like you have a drinking problem. I’ve followed you for 12 years and I hope you get the help you need. Why your friends let you go on a podcast and camera like this is… there are no words. Most episodes and posts you seem drunk out of your mind or hungover. I really hope you can get the healing you need.
Changes Are Needed

As a longtime listener, I find the addition of Amy - who I’m sure is a lovely person - to be unnecessary. It has broken the format that listeners were used to. I find myself skipping the first twenty minutes; I’m not interested in that length of random gabbing. If they want to do a weekly podcast or Instagram live of said random gabbing that is a separate release from the guest interview, that would be much preferred. Unfortunately, Amy’s lack of expertise in the podcast arena shows as her question are interjected awkwardly and land heavily. I wish for any future interviews to be solely conducted by Jen alone, like they used to be, and for that to be the entire episode. The quality of this podcast has really gone downhill and I don’t enjoy listening anymore. As someone who has long supported Jen’s work, I hope she listens to what many people here are saying, myself included.

First of all, I have no idea why two women were chatting for a long time before introducing the guest. Second, I don’t know that I’ve ever heard anyone ask such long and redundant questions. Third, the host should let the guest speak; I don’t want to hear “ahhhh” and “so good” every 30 seconds.
