07- Dr. Sean Mulvaney, Anxiety- PTSD treatment through- Stellate Ganglion Block

Anxiety and PTSD treatment through the Stellate Ganglion Block Anxiety and PTSD treatment through the Stellate Ganglion Block procedure – is the focus of this podcast featuring Dr. Sean Mulvaney, a former US Navy SEAL. Following a distinguished 31-year career in the military, serving as both a US Navy SEAL and US Army Physician, Dr. Mulvaney now dedicates himself to healing patients through minimally invasive sports medicine in private practice in Annapolis, Maryland. His passion lies in treating active-duty Special Operations military personnel, veterans, and the general public, with patients traveling from all 50 states and many different countries to seek his expertise. Dr. Mulvaney is nationally recognized as an authority in minimally invasive sports medicine and the use of the stellate ganglion block (SGB) for PTSD. He is also a co- founder of The Stellate Institute. Dr. Mulvaney was the first to utilize the Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB) for combat-related PTSI and has been actively publishing research in this field since 2009. He is renowned internationally as an educator of other physicians and has led the way in ultrasound-guided techniques. The stellate ganglion, a part of the cervical sympathetic chain, plays a crucial role in the sympathetic nervous system, also known as thefight or flight; nervous system. In PTSI and certain anxiety conditions, this nervous system can become stuck in the position. By precisely administering long-acting local anesthetic (ropivacaine) around the stellate ganglion, the chronic and unproductive & fight-or-flight response is temporarily inhibited for several hours. This interruption allows neurotransmitters in the brain to & reset & back to a non-anxiety state, resulting in long-term relief of anxiety symptoms. The SGB procedure may enhance daily activities, sleep, relationships, mood, employment, and more. Dr. Mulvaney, who has authored over 15 studies and research papers on this topic since 2009, will elaborate on this unique and straightforward procedure during the podcast. SGB has the potential to significantly improve the lives and well-being of many individuals by offering them the chance to restore their quality of life. 06- "Secrets of Healthy Relationships and How to Deal with Criticism" with Dr. Warren Farrell

"Secrets of Healthy Relationships and how to deal with criticism" with Dr. Warren Farrell Summary In this episode, Warren Farrell, a New York Times bestselling author and an expert in couples’ communication with over 30 years of experience, shares the wisdom of how not to be defensive in response to criticism and how to sustain lasting love. Dr. Warren is known as a pioneer in both the women’s movement (having been the only man elected three times to the Board of the National Organization for Women in NYC) and has also been called by GQ magazine “The Martin Luther King of the men’s movement”. His books, including "Why Men Are the Way They Are" and "The Myth of Male Power", have become international bestsellers. Warren has been interviewed multiple times by Oprah, Barbara Walters, Larry King, Tucker Carlson, Charlie Rose, Jordan Peterson, and many others, and has been the subject of two special features on ABC’s 20/20. In this podcast, we discuss Warren’s new book called "Role Mate to Soul Mate", where he provides a practical roadmap on how to feel more deeply loved, avoid defensiveness in response to criticism, and cultivate more harmonious and lasting relationships, drawing on his over 30 years of experience teaching couples and psychotherapists through his accompanying online course. In this podcast, Warren shares several of his Seven Secrets to Lifelong Love, and how to transform the "Four Depleters of Love" (Criticisms, Complaining, Complacency, and Controlling), as well as how to play together, because “couples that play together stay together”. His book guides couples on how to do this for two hours per week as a “Caring and Sharing Practice.” For the other 166 hours, couples create a “Conflict-Free Zone”, which requires preventing criticisms from becoming conflicts. His book "The Boy Crisis: Why Our Boys Are Struggling and What We Can Do About It", which he co-authored with John Grey, has gained significant attention in recent years. In 2009, Farrell received a call from the White House requesting him to be an advisor to the White House Council on Women and Girls, which led him to create and chair a commission of a White House Council on Boys and Men’s issues. Dr. Farrell’s passion is to help couples rediscover and sustain their “sole mate spark” and keep families together in true loving union, preventing the serious side effects of divorce that can adversely affect kids and ultimately society as a whole. Dr. Warren Farrell discusses the secrets of healthy relationships and the connection between his books 'The Role-Mate to Soulmate' and 'The Boy Crisis'. He emphasizes the importance of appreciation in relationships and the need to pan for our partner's gold. Criticism and fear are natural but can be detrimental to love. He suggests altering our natural defensive response to criticism and creating a conflict-free zone. Men and women express vulnerability differently, with women becoming stronger when they ask for help and men feeling more vulnerable when they express vulnerability. In this conversation, Warren Farrell discusses the importance of listening and understanding in relationships. He explains how the problem-solving skills that are valued in the workplace can be detrimental in romantic relationships, as women often just want to be heard and not have their problems solved. He emphasizes the need for men to listen without immediately offering solutions and highlights the importance of creating a safe environment for vulnerability. Farrell also shares stories about John Lennon and his own experiences with relationships. He discusses the need for a White House Council on Boys and Men and the challenges faced in addressing boys' and men's issues. https://warrenfarrell.com/ email: warren@warrenfarrell.com https://www.youtube.com/user/drwarrenfarrell

05- Chronic Inflammation and Healing Dr. Eric Gordon: Cures, Remedies and Beyond

Chronic Inflammation and Healing with Dr. Eric Gordon, Chronic inflammation is often referred to as a "silent killer," mainly because it has been found to play a role in almost every chronic disease, affecting approximately 133 million Americans, or more than 40% of the total population of the United States. More than 50% of all deaths worldwide are attributed to chronic inflammatory diseases, ranging from cardiovascular disorders to diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, Lyme disease, autoimmune diseases, and many other illnesses. Our guest is an internationally recognized expert in the treatment of complex chronic illness, with over 40 years of clinical experience, and the founder of the Gordon Medical Research Center in the San Francisco Bay Area – Dr. Eric Gordon. Dr. Gordon co-authored a groundbreaking study titled "Metabolic Features of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome." He explains: Have you been sick for an extended period, and you can't seem to get better no matter what you do? In fact, your symptoms are progressively worsening. When everything is healthy, mitochondria (small organelles responsible for energy production inside our cells) are in energy mode. If your cells sense a threat, they can switch from energy production to defense mode, leaking ATP into the bloodstream to signal an immune response. This is known as the Cell Danger Response (CDR). This explains why when you become acutely ill with a virus or infection, you feel fatigued, as your ATP and mitochondria are focused on immune tasks rather than energy production. If this scenario sounds familiar, your healing process may be "stuck" in the Cell Danger Response (CDR) mode, with a “failure to communicate”. If this cellular dysfunction is left unaddressed, it leads to uncontrolled inflammation, various debilitating symptoms, and even complex chronic illnesses. These biochemical shifts occur in an attempt to protect the body, but in reality, they become harmful if prolonged. Ideally, our cells should not be in defense mode constantly. This is a major reason why many individuals with chronic illnesses suffer from mitochondrial dysfunction, profound fatigue, and poor wound healing: cells trapped in the Cell Danger Response are not completing the healing cycle. But there is hope. You can exit the CDR and truly heal. What are the signals the brain needs to exit the healing cycle (aka the cell danger response) and return to the health cycle? To learn more, please join our discussion on this vital topic with one of the veterans in the field of chronic complex illnesses, Dr. Eric Gordon.   https://gordonmedical.com/dr-eric-gordon/ https://gordonmedical.com/ Gordon Medical Associates PHONE (415)-757-6100 361 Third St, Unit J, San Rafael, CA 94901, United States
