Deep Democracy

I wish there was another WOC who could also host with Wilnelia. As a Boston WOC listener, I was like “what?” when I heard the other co-host say that her demographic is “nerdy women.” Really? As a person with an intersectional identity, I am born with my identities - racial, class - and I don’t have the privilege to pick a political demographic based on hobbies / choices I make.

I enjoyed the first episode and I’m ready for more.

I'm a politics junkie and love the fresh perspective these hosts bring, as gay women, and Wilnelia as a WOC, and as progressive movement builders with state, local and national experience. The point they made in the second episode about forgetting winning back the white working class and instead focusing on winning back the South, where millions of brown and black folks have been disenfranchised and generally discouraged from voting, is so dang smart and something I haven't even heard mentioned on other podcasts. I'm excited for more episodes!
