Ep #47 Eroticism and The Sexual Self

Ep #47 Eroticism and The Sexual Self

What is eroticism? How do we integrate the sexual self into the larger tapestry of who we are? How do we see ourselves as sexual beings; de-shamed and in our own power. How do we make the sexual act more joyous, more present, more connected and intimate? These are some of the questions I'll explore in this episode. Sex is not just sex. Eroticism is not porn or fantasy. It's the awakening of a vital aspect of who we are that has the power to enhance many facets of our lives. I hope you enjoy.

Ep #46 The Lives That Could Have Been

Ep #46 The Lives That Could Have Been

Please enjoy this dispatch from a public park in Sydney, Australia where I try to navigate profound topics like the past lives and fields of quantum potential while tourists take selfies and helicopters fly overhead. Hopefully this meandering talk, including an impromptu guided meditation brings you into a personal exploration of all the lives you could have lived and the new ones that await you.

Ep #45 War, Violence & The Objectification of Self

Ep #45 War, Violence & The Objectification of Self

These are challenging times my friends and perhaps we can be the heroes of our own story. It requires a paradigm shift that begins within ourselves. From one of seeing ourselves and each other as objects, that can be judged and discarded. To one of seeing ourselves and each other as sacred expressions of life to be respected, valued and loved. It's moving out of tribal dynamics and all the isms that separate us into a new world of co-creating, self-respect and life-valuing. It won't be easy, but one by one, when each of us practices this, perhaps we have a chance to shift the collective. Sending hugs.

    Ep #44 Architecting Self-Worth

    Ep #44 Architecting Self-Worth

In this dispatch from Bali, I talk about the proactive work we must do in order to architect a deep and solid sense of worthiness. I cover the impact of our childhoods and how it can fracture or create a fissure in our self-worth and how perhaps that fracture is purposeful. It is designed to get us to look within, to remove any belief systems born out of mythology and to install new belief systems of self-worth and self value. This is powerful work, friends, because there is a direct correlation between what we believe about ourselves and our experience of life. The new world and the new self, await.

Ep #43 The Bridge Between Worlds

Ep #43 The Bridge Between Worlds

Sometimes we find ourselves in the space between two versions of our lives. One that doesn't quite feel right anymore and one that has yet to present itself. While this space can be challenging (and the disillusionment that comes with it), it's actually the bridge between two worlds. I talk about the importance of this phase of life transformation, what it requires, how to show up for it and how to get the most out of it. If you find yourself in a moment of transition, this episode is for you. Get curious, get exploratory, grab a blankie and warm up to this episode.

I give you an explanation on how to understand introspection, resolving past hurts and how doing that releases clues around what your heart truly wants. Have a listen.

Just what I needed

I feel late to the party, but i just started binge listening to Drunk on Spirit and it is exactly what I need. I went off social media (and pretty much sheltered in place) when DJT became president. Then the pandemic happened and I worked through it and like so many others am facing epic levels of burnout. Add a mild midlife crisis and …
Sohail’s voice is so clear and beautiful. He articulates the shared human experience in a way that fills the heart. Listening to him makes me feel like the little voice inside me has power and worthiness and gives me hope that I might just come through this creating a life that is right for me.

This series has many vectors to pierce somebody’s heart, soul and mind. I’ve listened to just about all and look forward to the posting of every new episode.

What makes this inner journey different from many others is Sohail’s ability to deeply strike a chord with his playful and authentic stories, told with a humble reverence.

Urge you to give it a listen and prepare to find fresh insights you will find apply to the life you live today.

Have a drink on your spiritual journey

Sohail’s spiritual POV is energizing and down-to-earth. Reminds us that being dynamic, complicated and flawed doesn’t mean you can’t also be spiritual. He successfully takes the pretentiousness away.
