A Cacophony of Recovery

On my journey to recovery, I’ve searched for a ton of podcasts and listened to them- attempting to supplement my weekly meetings. I could compare this podcast close to the Dr. Demento Show due to its consistent use of sound clips, music, and game-show like activities.
In my chaotic life, my recovery seemed to scream the need for peace, serenity, and calm- this show’s presentation seems a bit too much for my nerves to handle- although I can see the appeal through their humorous interactions and their light-hearted hosts. I’m giving it a try, in an effort of fairness, and see what they’ve got to offer.
I imagine that this podcast will appeal to people who need some extra 12 step talk in their lives. I’ll also try checking it out later in the day and not over my morning coffee when I’m still in full zombie mode. ❤️

Good now not so good ,

My first few listens, I passed, now this is my go to!

I listen the every recovery related Pod I can find and there are a lot of fantastic options that help me on my journey. I look for those that share their journey, experience, strength and hope with a solution based message. While I don’t only listen to 12 step
Based Pods, I do greatly appreciate those that have taken the steps, know the traditions and can share in plain language how each particular step brought them closer to a spiritual experience. I stumbled across this one a couple years back and gave it a few tries and finally thought it wasn’t for me. Then I started really focusing on the “Language of the Heart” shares with Chris S. And this is now my go to Pod when I need to hear the message. Chris S. Is a recovery OG and he definitely carries the message that I believe the founders intended for us all to hear. Very grateful for the work, effort, love, and service put into sharing this Podcast.
