This was a really fun episode to do as I got to hang out with my buddy Antoine Troupe at his brand new dance studio, KreativMndz Academy. We had the whole studio to ourselves. With James Brown, Prince, and Michael and Janet Jackson on a big mural behind us, Antoine and I discussed entrepreneurship, dance, storytelling, psychology, confidence, self-development, branding, and so much more. Most importantly, Antoine shared his passion for learning.

Antoine is professional dancer, choreographer, dance instructor, entrepreneur, and creative visionary. In 2008, he appeared on MTV’s Americas Best Dance Crew as part of Supreme Soul.

He has choreographed for stars such as Prince, Chris Brown, and CeeLo Green. He's worked with brands such as Starbucks and Kit-Kat, and been featured on LinkedIn's ad campaigns.

My guest on this episode is fashion runway model Karri Lauritzen. You would’ve also seen her on products and displays in stores such as Costco and Target. What most people don’t realize is she grew up in foster care, moving through 29 different homes before she was 18. Before entering the foster care system, she and her several siblings were neglected and mistreated by her biological parents in horrible living conditions. On this episode, celebrity makeup artist Jessica Hoffman Shakir shares what she’s learned and how she’s grown from living with severe scoliosis. At one point, her spine had collapsed but chose not to have spine surgery. To this day, she lives with chronic pain and irregularities with breathing and organ function.
