So important for moms to be
When it comes to having a baby there is so much conflicting advice out there and it’s hard to know what to do. I love the advice that Liz and Shaina provide from the point of view of labor nurses. They know the good the bad and the ugly and will help you navigate it all!
Real relevant content
I have three older kids and as a woman still find this podcast relevant, interesting and refreshing.
Shaina and Liz are talking from their experiences and providing insight from real stories while offering a humble opinion.
Thank you for that.
Retired Labor nurse
Hello, I have just stumbled upon your podcast and it absolutely tickles me! I started labor in a very large hospital in Illinois in the year 1965. Things were a whole lot different and I would say I’ve seen it come and I’ve seen it go. My first one listening to is how to check a cervix. I would just like to share that when I started a vaginal exam was a sterile doctors procedure. Nurses only did rectal‘s with a finger cat on there pointing finger. We could get very very accurate! However effacement was thick, thinning or thin. When I went to a small hospital I had to teach myself vaginal exams. I had to do a vaginal exam then check myself with a rectal. Sorry ladies but I had to do what I had to do. It’s been an amazing ride these many many years. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I miss it. So I will listen to your Podcasts and think about the old days!
