Podcast 2: Listen to Your Body Meditation

Podcast 2: Listen to Your Body Meditation

This week's podcast I am reading a meditation provided by the Personal Transformation Institute.  Meditation has been found to have many positive effects both physically and mentally.  Research shows that by implementing daily meditation even if just for 5 minutes, has many positive results like reducing anxiety, lower blood pressure, or relaxing your body.  As a counselor working with tweens and wiser I am always trying to find resources that can support my clients who often are healing from grief, loss, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and more.  This last year has brought many challenges with several people feeling more isolated due to the pandemic and for many this increased symptoms that were already challenging.  I look forward to covering more topics on this podcast and welcome any ideas you might have.  Take care, Jasmine

    Who You Are Is Enough

    Who You Are Is Enough

My first podcast includes a meditation called Who You Are Is Enough.  This was provided to me by the Personal Transformation Institute when I completed a training on Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing Therapy.  There are several benefits of meditation including gaining perspective on stressful situations, managing and reducing stress and anxiety, enhance self-awareness, increases attention span, staying in the present rather than focusing on the past or future, reducing negative emotions, increasing imagination, creativity, patience, and tolerance.  These first couple of podcasts will be meditations as a couple of my current clients find these to be helpful.  Thank you for listening!
