Coping Mini-Series: Bread Therapy with Author Pauline Beaumont Health: It's Personal

    • Health & Fitness

Author and educator, Pauline Beaumont understands human psychology, and is here to share boundless practical wisdom in this three-part mini-series on positive coping strategies. This mother of six and enthusiastic grandmother understands the art of bread-making and the importance of appreciating each day. She feels there is a “synergy between therapeutic work, writing and baking bread that is fulfilling creatively and interpersonally.” This week, the Health: It’s Personal team has an insightful conversation with Pauline about mental health, connection and imperfection. She shares the “symbolically rich” and scientific benefits of baking bread from whole ingredients and explains how taking care of yourself starts with the food you put into your body. As we live in uncertain times and the holidays amplify our sense of balance, there is culture and comfort in crafting a simple loaf of bread. We are excited to share this Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH) author with you during our special holiday miniseries on coping.

Sean, Karen and McKenna discuss the subtle and tricky art of forgiving your younger self.

Keep an eye out on the HIP Instagram and Twitter for a special Bread Therapy Giveaway.

And in the spirit of health, McKenna will be sharing non-alcoholic holiday drink recipes on Instagram Live each Friday at 5pm est and a fabulous alcoholic version for our Patreon Patrons.
