Hope and Help For Fatigue & Chronic Illness
Welcome to the Hope and Help for Fatigue and Chronic Illness Podcast. It's our mission to help people that have some really complicated illnesses. People that have post viral syndrome like long COVID and ME/CFS or chronic fatigue. Those that have had toxic exposures like gulf war illness, mold exposures, pesticides and heavy metals. These illnesses can present very similarly, they can actually look the same to your clinician. You may have fatigue, post exertional malaise, foggy brain and many other symptoms that seem to be common across many illnesses. Underneath all of these illnesses, the causes of the symptoms are very similar. We know first hand how hard it is to get access to meaningful information and care when you find yourself or a loved one here. It is our hope to give you, bit by bit, the knowledge and ideas that we have seen make a positive impact on individuals just like you. And that you will take all those threads and begin to weave back together a healthier person. Brought to you by the Institute for Neuro-Immune Medicine where we have over 200 years of combined clinical experience in Neuro-Inflammatory disease.
Truly a Hope Lifeline

This podcast and all the wonderful doctors who have been interviewed have been a game changer for my sense of hope. The validation, the perspectives/framing, the work being done—all patient focused—are transformative. I appreciate the knowledge that the host brings to the table. I just wish she would interrupt less and allow the experts to talk more.
Two critiques
Sep 5
1. The host shouldn’t interrupt as much. I have ME/CFS; I’m already exhausted. I don’t need a podcast host’s frenetic interruptions to make me feel even more exhausted. It’s gotten to where I can’t listen to this podcast during my really bad relapses. 2. The conversation needs to stay on topic. The latest episode about the interplay between the immune system and the nervous system hardly contains any info about the stated topic.
So grateful for this

Thank you for providing this vital information for those of us with (often multiple) complex diseases that sadly most physicians are clueless about. My unrealistic wish is that this podcast be required listening for the whole medical profession, the vast majority of whom are dismissive to patients they don't know how to diagnose or treat. I recently had the good fortune of becoming a patient of Dr. Rey at INIM. You are all doing excellent work there. Thank you, and bravo!
Amazing resource

Thank you so much for creating this resource to get essential information to long covid patients like myself. I really enjoy the guests and info, but I do wish the host allowed the experts to speak more instead of interrupting. The episodes are short and I find myself wanting more, so it would be ideal to make the most of the time by asking targeted questions to stay on topic and allowing the experts to finish their answers. I appreciate her enthusiasm, but also find it a bit disregulating.
