We all have terrifying questions that we can’t stop thinking about. Did I make the right decision as a parent? Can I share a secret with my mother or father? Usually, these questions go unanswered because it’s too scary to imagine saying them out loud. This podcast is the place where young people and caring adults in their lives can ask the hardest questions of each other.

Lemonada Media presents "I Need To Ask You Something," a unique 10-part series that bridges the gap between the things we need to say and the words we’re afraid to hear. Each week, trauma therapist Dr. Monica Band sits down with a young person and their parent, friend or partner to help them create a blueprint for building stronger relationships while healing out loud. Created in partnership with The Jed Foundation.

Listen Now: The Pink House with Sam Smith

We’re excited to drop in your feed today to tell you about a new Lemonada Media series called The Pink House with Sam Smith. Hosted by five-time Grammy winner Sam Smith, The Pink House is about the people and places that make us who we are. One of those places was Sam’s childhood home in the English village of Great Chishill, literally called The Pink House. It was a space of total warmth and love where Sam felt safe enough to find their voice. Each week, join Sam in conversation with icons and friends like Trixie Mattel, Gloria Estefan, Elliot Page, Joel Kim Booster, Ben Platt, Rebecca Sugar and Michelle Visage as they explore their own “Pink Houses” and how they navigated early struggles and ultimately found their place in the world.

You’re about to hear a preview of the first episode of The Pink House, where Sam chats with Elliot Page about his upbringing in Canada, his breakout role in the film Juno, and how seeking time away from it all has helped him embrace a whole new, exhilarating life.

Need a Second Season!

This podcast effortlessly captures the beauty, pain, and connection of humanity. Dr. Band thoughtfully supports each family as they deepen their relationships and navigate diverse experiences. Podcasts like this help emerging adults feel more connected, seen, and heard; a critical element that promotes overall well-being. I would absolutely love a second season!

Feeling Connected!

These episodes are wonderful. Dr. Monica Band’s approach to calmly address complex cases has me in awe. The difficult conversations presented by “I need to ask you something” are captivating and thought provoking. I will continue to listen and hope there are more episodes to come!

Love the message but could do without pushing political

I don’t care what your views are on abortion. Do not push “Defenders” on people looking for your otherwise helpful information on emotional issues.

Don’t make everything political.
