I should be able to eat whatever I want Weight Loss With Wendy

It seems like such an innocent thought; but what it turns into is “I’m going to eat whatever I want.”

This has been a common theme for many during the pandemic. When I think I should be able to eat whatever I want; it makes me feel like I’m entitled because of the stress of what’s going on in the world and our country today.

Or, after I have been on my healthy eating plan for a few months, the thought of I should be able to eat whatever I want sneaks in, causing a feeling of entitlement and craving for more.

A few questions to ask is:

-  Why am I feeling entitled?

-  Is this a useful thought?

-  Do I like the results I am creating?

-  How do I want to feel?

You may think our external circumstances are the problem, such as the pandemic, other people, food, or what someone said. But it’s how you think about the situation that causes you to feel or do anything.

One question to ask is: What do I have control of? You have control over what you eat, drink, buy, wear AND what you are thinking, feeling, doing, or not doing regarding the external circumstance.
