Just what I’ve been looking for!

I never give podcast reviews but I am so happy to have found this podcast! I was feeling so frustrated with other narcissistic abuse podcasts because it felt like most episodes were about the traits or signs of narcissists. Any advice on actually healing was so generic and usually advertised a recovery course. This podcast gives in-depth interviews with survivors and walks through the highs and lows of recovery. What sets this podcast apart is that it centers the focus on the victim instead of the narc. They don’t linger on the abuse itself (which frankly just makes me wallow in self-pity and anger) but rather what we can do to move past the abuse. Thank you, I really needed this.

Last month I awakened to the reality that I was in an emotionally abusive relationship with a narcissist. I realized if he was unwilling to seek counseling I had to leave and somehow had the strength to do it. It was a fast decision and left me feeling confused, devastated, and questioning my sanity and choice to leave. Maybe it was me and I overacted? I have listened to a few podcasts on narcissism since but didn’t really connect. I listened to all of Jasmins podcasts within 2 days and felt so much confirmation that I made the right choice by leaving. She has verbalized as if present what I experienced in the last year and given me hope that I will heal. She described all the red flags I had seen and pushed aside and the how our relationship cycled through phases. I highly recommend this podcast if you feel you are in a relationship with a narcissist or recovering from one. An additional bonus is she is excellent to listen to with a lovely accent and soothing voice. Thanks Jasmin for having to courage to speak up!
