Ep. 60 - Middle Ground Mastery with Dr. Jessie Heymeyer

The parents in my Pediatric practice are eager to learn more about how to care for themselves and their family without formal medication. My goal has always been “less is more” and although I am not a functional medicine physician if we can improve lifestyle and choices to improve health before using medication I am all for it!
Dr. H shares her expertise about the Middle ground and ditching the all or nothings approach! This is something I personally struggle with. As we recover from this weeks festivities and more holidays approaching how can we help parents and their families navigate the next month without indulgence, restriction or guilt.
🩺 I help parents navigate the highs, lows, + in between moments that come with raising a family

Ep. 57 - Healthy meal planning with “Choice Architecture”

Ep. 57 - Healthy meal planning with “Choice Architecture”

Families are faced with so many challenges on how to feed their families and encourage healthy eating or what I like to say “eating to nourish”. It is difficult to meal plan if your child is picky, has food allergies or intolerances, a medical disorder or chooses to eat a vegan diet for example. Maureen Pisanick, a registered and licensed Dietitian joins me to discuss eating with a “choice architecture” so that mealtime is fun, nutritious and encourages and supports autonomy and inclusiveness.

Ep. 56 - Teaching Kids Financial Literacy

When is the best time to talk to your kids about money? The answer is right now! You can start at a young age with the basics and go from there. More than half the parents in the country miss opportunities to teach their children about money and finance. It is important to talk about money in our daily lives and help them learn about your family’s values. John Adams, a private Wealth Advisor, founder and principal of Adams, Gut and Associates will help us get the conversation going.

Ep. 55 - Growing Healthy Teeth with Dr. VJ Part 2

Last week  I was honored to have Dr. VJ, a holistic dentist from Australia, as a Guest on drveeshealthhubGrowing up with Dr. Sarah. This week I am sharing the honor I had of being a guest on Dr. VJ’s podcast - Mind Body Mouth. Dr. VJ and I both agree that oral health and alignment should be a priority when considering your medical health.  We will discuss different strategies and reiterate important points to help your family grow up with healthier. It’s easy to under estimate how being mindful of oral and dentil health can lead to healthier body and mind.
Follow Dr VJ on Instagram @drveeshealthhubto as well as her Podcast Mind Body Mouth to learn more about how you and your family can live healthier!

As a mom, I love Dr. Sarah! SO much to appreciate here! :)

Sarah is like having a compassionate, smart, relatable, and understanding Pediatrician right in your pocket! I love her style, topics, delivery and questions she both asks and answers!

I was grateful to be a guest on Episode 38 during the 2022 season and have the chance to introduce energy psychology and tapping to her listeners. Definitely a BIG “game changer” for parents and kids alike and we did some of it together as part of the show recording and “I” got to help a Doctor out! That felt awesome! Check out the episode to learn more.

Keep doing what you do, Dr. Sarah! Love your vibe and am happy to be part of your tribe!
