And... Just Like That: Essays on a life before, during and after the law.
Have a dream but afraid to take the first step? Mark Shaiken, ex attorney now photographer, shares his life before, during and after leaving a high powered career as a bankruptcy attorney.
Forty-one years in the law and then one day, no more law, just like that.
After retirement, Mark authored: “And... Just Like That - Essays on a life before during and after the law”- a poignant and funny must-read for anyone considering a career change. As well, a must for attorneys; law students; people thinking of considering a career in the law; judges; law professors; people who know an attorney, work with and around an attorney, live with an attorney or are friends with an attorney; and anyone who thinks they are stuck in a career.
Mark is a survivor of a decades long career in the corporate bankruptcy trenches. He sat for 10 years on his law firm’s board of directors and was
a member of its strategic planning committee. He holds his B.A. from Haverford College and received his J.D. from Washburn University. He is
a graduate of the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts’ Leadership Arts program. He holds seats on art boards, sits on Habitat for Humanity.
