Every morning

I am so very glad I found LeVar Burton Reads. Every morning when I walk my dog I listen to a story and the time passes too quickly. My mind is engaged while my feet keep moving. The stories are amazing! How can so much knowledge, fun, emotion, intelligence and imagination go into short literature? Some stories have really stood out, like Chivalry by Neil Gaiman, Paper Menagerie by Mr. Liu and so many more. Sometimes I think to myself, “If the story ended right here, I’d be satisfied.” Then LeVar says, “ The End” and I gasp! Of course, LeVar Burton’s voice and style contribute so much to my enjoyment that I’m taken aback by how much he makes the stories real. He certainly has found himself a spot to stand out, a niche of his own, when he’s not acting. I look forward to hearing him every morning. How about a story from Poirot Investigates by Agatha Christie? Thanks!

Time has passed and I still love to listen! I wish there was a new story posted every day forever. After reading The Years of My Birth by Louise Erdrich, Mr. Burton said a heartfelt, “I love you.” I love you, too, for the talent, joy, entertainment and the deep thoughts I get from you everyday. Keep reading and I’ll keep listening. Thank you!

Paper Menagerie

I started listening to this story in the middle of the night. It is so beautiful I couldn’t stop thinking of the characters as I lay in bed, dreaming awake.
