Dr. Romero was awarded the Augusta University and the ACD Outstanding Faculty award, the Research and Scholarship award from the Dental College of Georgia, the Excellence in Dental Education Award from the Pierre Fauchard Academy.

John McCarthy joined TeamSmile as Executive Director in May of 2017 and is excited to help fulfill the mission of using sports as a force for good. McCarthy has been involved in various capacities within college athletics for over 25 years and very engaged in the non-profit community since 2013. He has become one of the country’s pre-eminent authorities on small college basketball and travels the country speaking to coaches and athletic administrators. He resides in Kansas City with his wife and son.

Dr. Madelyn Fletcher-Stark attended Loma Linda University in California, graduating with honors in 2000. After teaching and practicing, she completed a three-year master’s degree in Graduate Prosthodontics in Seattle, WA. She was an associate professor in removable prosthodontics at Loma Linda University and was owner of a general dentistry and prosthodontics practice in Albuquerque, NM until it was closed in March 2020. She decided not to re-open and is starting a Remote Reiki Energy Healing Practice.

She is the most relevant female/mommy dentist today in my opinion! She is the current face of dentistry and is a leader of her teams and brilliant woman! We need more of this with her to grow this profession forward and have meaningful conversations about Very Relevant happenings in dentistry today and what’s coming in the future!
