    Celebrating 200 Episodes!
We’re celebrating our 200th episode today! Thank you for being here and for all your support. Over the years, I’ve coached thousands of people and noticed recurring themes that we all struggle with, both in our careers and personal lives. Today, I want to talk about one of the most common issues: figuring out what to do when you’re not motivated and fulfilled by your job anymore.

It’s important to understand that it’s not your job’s job to make you feel motivated and fulfilled. That responsibility falls on us. We need challenges, a sense of purpose, and the feeling that what we do matters. But how do we achieve that?

Think of your job as if it were a person you’re in a relationship with. How would you describe your relationship? Are you in the honeymoon phase, a healthy routine, or do you need couples counseling? How do you talk about your job when it’s not around? Are you investing in this relationship?

Your job responds to how you treat it. If you’re bored or stressed, it will reflect that. Decide what kind of relationship you want with your job and take steps to make it happen. If you need help, I’m here for you. Go to lindsaylymancoaching.com/chat  and sign up for a coffee chat.

In this episode, we're diving into a topic that came up during a fun discussion in my coaching program: red flags that your manager may not be trustworthy. We'll talk about some not-so-obvious signs, potential yellow flags, and even some green flags to look for in a good manager. Trust me, these insights are going to be game-changers.

Here are a few key points we'll cover:
    - Red flags like inconsistent one-on-ones, managers who don't bring their own team members, and leaders who gossip or dominate meetings.
    - Yellow flags that might indicate potential issues, such as managers who never turn on their cameras or always go first in group discussions.
    - Green flags that signal a great leader, like caring about you as a person, taking feedback seriously, and being transparent about changes.

As you listen, think about how these flags apply to your situation and how you can use this knowledge to ask better questions during interviews. And remember, you're not alone. You don't have to navigate this on your own. There are solutions, and I'm here to help you find them.

Feels so good to move with confidence and authenticity

Prior to working with Lindsay and listening to podcast, I’d always thought I had to be like “someone else”, someone who was more aggressive, more uptight, or more critical, in order to really excel in the competitive corporate environment. Lindsay taught me how to not only appreciate the qualities I brought to the table, but leverage them to grow my career as well as cultivate my own team’s growth. I now feel more confident than ever that I can navigate those sometimes messy office dynamics.
