The Easter Episode: UK vs US vs France
It's almost Easter, aka a four-day weekend in the UK. Woo! We start the episode with a story about the UK's cost of living crisis, and then dive into the different ways Easter is celebrated across the UK, US, and Japan. This week's Frenglish term is 'promenade' -- you may be surprised by what other word it is related to.

Common mistakes French people (even fluent ones!) make in English
I'm starting French lessons this week, ahhh! Wish me bon chance. 😬 Our Slice of London Life story is about the opening of the tube's brand-new Elizabeth Line, as well as the 4-day work week trial happening across the UK. We then jump into the main topic, common mistakes made by French people-- even fluent English speakers, like Joseph. Plus, who will win the newlywed game this week...?!

Woke culture & what makes London worth living in
We're in a bit of a cycle of wake up, work, sleep right now so we're excited to take a break from that and catch up with you all on the pod!
Our Slice of London Life story is about a recent menu change that backfired on a certain Devon pub. We also discuss the background of 'emoji' as a Japanese word, rant about Netflix's 'Bad Vegan,' and dive into a Reddit thread on 'what makes living in London worth it.' Our Frenglish term of the week is 'touche.'

Looking forward to more episodes!
So glad to hear that more podcasts is a goal for 2020, love listening! So relatable, feels like chatting with a friend, and hearing about life in Japan is fascinating.
Real conversations, interesting hosts
I enjoy this podcast for the most part, although I do get stressed during the moments of tension between Anna and Joseph (when they bicker over the definition of something or whether something happened or not...) I really appreciate them sharing their life and experiences though!
I’m listening!!!
I look forward to whenever Anna releases a new episode because I can really relate to her as a twenty-something trying to figure her life out. I loved following her adventures in Southeast Asia and she had super helpful travel tips that I’m sure will be useful on my own RTW trip!
To Anna, if you’re reading - don’t give up on the podcast! I work at a boring 9-5 and just listening to your podcast and stories brings a smile to my face and brightens up my otherwise miserable day. Keep doing what you’re doing!
