countless honors for her pioneering legal work on behalf of victims who have
been discriminated against due to gender, race, age, physical handicap, sexual
orientation, sexual harassment or because they have AIDS. AM&G is also
well-known for its work on behalf of victims of rape, child sexual abuse and battered
women. Ms. Allred also founded the Women’s Equal Rights Legal Defense and

Nichols, Floyd and Linked Fate
Another senseless death captured the world's attention as the video of Tyre Nichols final moments of life were released. Elected officials and community members expressed shock and sadness after seeing the police body camera and neighborhood security camera footage, which showed multiple Memphis Police Department (MPD) officers kicking, punching and striking Nichols with a baton as he screamed for help. Join Judge Aquilina and Shari Botwin, LCSW in an emotional conversation about Nichol's death, and how we can take action and demand change. Linked fate is when others can imagine that Floyd, Nichols and others could have been their sons, husbands, parents or teachers. These types of tragedies hit close to home. These two are so fun together, especially listening at 1.5x speed lol. Down-to-earth and personable with a simple yet informative approach. They provide the listener comfort where discomfort may otherwise be common. I appreciate that if they don't know something, they say so. Often times we already know what speakers are talking about, but amid life's chaos it's nice to be reminded about the simple things.

Great show! I was hoping Shari could shed some light on childhood dissociation related to trauma. I’m 35 and as a nurse I’m struggling staying present. Thanks!
