What a great Podcast!

I’m in a very rural setting (our federal designation is actually”frontier medical center”) in a federally designated underserved clinic and critical access hospital. Our next closest hospital is 95 miles away with the closest pediatric ICU over 150. We have no specialists or surgical capabilities. This podcast is invaluable in keeping me up to date (no pun intended) with the latest medical research and treatments for pediatrics and helps with my overall pediatric AND adult medical knowledge. My drive to work is about 15 minutes so it’s perfect for my morning commute. Thank you so much for this amazing tool!

Great peds education

My wife and I both keep up with this podcast as we both see children in the pre-hospital and ER spaces. It’s absolutely essential for reviewing key concepts as well as getting the latest tips and tricks. Tim is a really phenomenal educator.

Outstanding general pediatrics resource for residents and attendings!

Started listening to this podcast several years ago during residency and have continued even since becoming a primary care attending! Although it’s titled “Emergency Playbook,” I’ve consistently found it to contain primary care-relevant information in addition to inpatient/ER pearls. Tim does an outstanding job of covering fundamentals as well as more nuanced topics - what I especially appreciate is his willingness to cite the literature along the way. As a resident, I found that this was one of the podcasts that regularly and reliably filled in the gaps of my residency’s program’s curriculum, or things that we were just expected to know without ever being taught. A pleasant bonus of the podcasts’ content is the continual emphasis on humanistic care and tangible strategies for how to provide it. Wish I had found this in med school itself, but either way, can’t wait for all the amazing content to come!
