Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard Armchair Umbrella

Hi, I’m Dax Shepard, and I love talking to people. I am endlessly fascinated by the messiness of being human, and I find people who are vulnerable and honest about their struggles and shortcomings to be incredibly sexy. I invite you to join me as I explore other people’s stories. We will celebrate, above all, the challenges and setbacks that ultimately lead to growth and betterment. What qualifies me for such an endeavor? More than a decade of sobriety, a degree in Anthropology and four years of improv training. I will attempt to discover human “truths” without any laboratory work, clinical trials or data collection. I will be, in the great tradition of 16th-century scientists, an Armchair Expert.

Customer Reviews
Charan Ranganath
Loved the entire podcast, but the fact check had me uncontrollably laughing. The riff on Mikes coffee and Bobs paper towels was priceless. Monica’s acting skills shined while she played the straight guy. I hoped she was having as much fun doing it as I had listening to it. Thanks for the belly laughs!
Monica ruins it
The fact check is all about Monica. Her stories herself. Her insecurities about Dax. He is SO patient with her but it’s so annoying to listen to. You’re friends. Leave him alone. Also, you’re so controlling and such a know it all. I can’t even listen to the fact check anymore.
I wish Dax would do some interviews without her. She’s not a value add. I used to like her and I struggled and fought it but here I am and I do not want to hear from her again.
My favorite
Armchair anonymous is by far my favorite podcast. I look forward to Fridays and make an effort to clear my schedule for an hour in the morning to sit in my hot tub and listen to the show with an incredible view of the Rocky Mountains. It’s the best. Thanks for your good company (and conversation starters!)
