Hi, I’m Dax Shepard, and I love talking to people. I am endlessly fascinated by the messiness of being human, and I find people who are vulnerable and honest about their struggles and shortcomings to be incredibly sexy. I invite you to join me as I explore other people’s stories. We will celebrate, above all, the challenges and setbacks that ultimately lead to growth and betterment. What qualifies me for such an endeavor? More than a decade of sobriety, a degree in Anthropology and four years of improv training. I will attempt to discover human “truths” without any laboratory work, clinical trials or data collection. I will be, in the great tradition of 16th-century scientists, an Armchair Expert.

Loved the entire podcast, but the fact check had me uncontrollably laughing. The riff on Mikes coffee and Bobs paper towels was priceless. Monica’s acting skills shined while she played the straight guy. I hoped she was having as much fun doing it as I had listening to it. Thanks for the belly laughs!

Don't Blink, youll miss it! ,

The one where Monica ruined armchair expert .

The 2 episodes that were just Dax and the guest was BLISSFUL!!! Too bad she came back. So here we are…

A/E WAS my #1 podcast. Cut to…I’ve been struggling to push through Monica’s useless interjections and annoying fake/Dax laugh & entitled attitude for months but I think I’m at my wit’s end. This girl has the mentality of a spoiled child & the life experience of one as well . She serves ZERO purpose on AE, other than to ruin it for me(& many others, apparently). Imagine how wonderful, If it was Dax on his own for the interview, followed up w a post show wrap up with Rob!! This would be pure BLISS! Rob would be perfect! He isn’t offensive, doesn’t talk just to prove he’s important, yet he’s knowledgeable and thoughtful w his words. I use to enjoy all of A/E. Then I started fast forward through Monica. Then Monica basically took over the entire fact check. She occasionally “allows” Dax a few minutes here & there, (how generous 🙄). When i realized this is getting worse not better, that was my cue to peace out after the interview ends. Now Monica is inserting herself into the interviews as much as possible. This only serves to disrupt the natural flow/progression/connection between Dax & guest. I think I’m just done. I’ll get my fix from a plethora of other wonderful podcasts. Believe it or not, they aren’t the only game in town! Call Her Daddy is excellent! Alex Cooper always “GOES THERE” w ea guest! It’s a great listen/watch! So many to choose from now… why endure the obnoxious, entitled child who hit the lotto when she bamboozled Dax into promoting her from babysitter to co-host. I have no need to endure anymore tales of Monica’s expensive limited “edish” (she apparently cannot say addition) purchases and bossy brags about the first class flight that is now her life, thanks to Dax. Whom btw, she has yet to thank! Let’s not forget this is the girl who has lost so much perspective, she proudly announced in the fact check, that she regrets not putting our beloved President OBAMA “in his place”?!!!🤯 That’s a hard NO for me. ✌️
