Discovering and Living Our Sexuality - A Conversation

Discovering and Living Our Sexuality - A Conversation

In honor of Pride month here in the US, I wanted to bring you a genuine conversation with a number of dear friends of mine about our own discoveries about our places in the LGBTQIA+ universe. We’re having a frank, open discussion about our experiences, our joys, our struggles, and so much more. Regardless of how you (or those in your lives) identify, these issues touch all of us, and I want to help bring greater understanding to my community and to all those whose lives you touch.
I’m joined by three amazing guests – not “experts” per se, simply real people: Kelly Mahalak, Cassandra Coghill, and Chivas Sandage – as we dive into:
Our own journeys to self-discovery The terms we use to describe ourselves, and the challenges in using these terms Compulsory heterosexuality Coming out is not a one-time thing The privilege and curse of “passing” The many joys in our lives related to our queerness Laughter. Tears. Deep truths. This conversation has it all!!!
    About Cassandra A. Coghill
I am Cassandra A. Coghill, a Relationship Alchemist and Intimacy Guide.
    I am a healer, a priestess, and a witch.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Women and Gender Studies, with a minor in Human Development and Family Science, from North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND. (Go Bison!)
While attending college, I became a certified Reiki Master Practitioner and gave birth to my first child. While pregnant with my second child, I was initiated onto the path of priestesshood at the Goddess Temple of Ashland, Oregon. I am also an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church.
A powerful inner call to understand the mysteries of life lead me into the study of metaphysics and the occult from a young age. I have been a practicing solitary white witch for the past 11 years. I have studied the Tarot since 2014 and consult it and other oracles for myself and my clients regularly. I work with the so-called “classical” or “Western” elements of Air, Water, Fire and Earth in nearly everything I do. My love for the so-called “Eastern” traditions runs deep (I’ve studied yoga, tantra, ayurveda, traditional chinese medicine, feng shui and Buddhist philosophy informally but extensively); but, as a person of predominantly British ancestry, the deepest and most powerful magick I bring forth tends to be drawn from ancient, indigenous European traditions, rituals, symbologies and myths. I commune with angels, dance with faeries and sing the songs of my ancestors regularly.”

The Power of Play with Elaine O Brien and Andrea Seydel

The Power of Play with Elaine O Brien and Andrea Seydel

Play comes naturally to most children, but as we get older, playfulness, zest, tends to diminish. We get stuck in responsibilities, or maybe you feel like play is frivolous. But then you also end up feeling unhappy and depressed and play is a way out of it. The power of play can really help us live more enjoyable, fulfilling, and even productive lives. My two guests today, Elaine O’Brien and Andrea Seydel, are not only dear friends of mine, but they just coauthored a book on this, and I am so thrilled to have them share their wisdom with you! Today we’re discussing:
Why we lose our sense of play as we get older Why play is so important to our wellbeing Reconnecting to how we like to play Easy ways to bring more play into our lives The value of “micromoments” How we can adopt a play mindset The scientific argument for play Why play is crucial to getting through challenging times About Elaine O’Brien

Taking Control of Our Relationship with Money

Taking Control of Our Relationship with Money

I grew up the grandchild of Holocaust survivors. My grandparents fled Europe and came to the United States with nothing, and their experiences understandably left them with concerns about money and scarcity. Some of this rubbed off on me, along with my own experiences growing up around people who had far more money than I did (not that I wanted for anything). And as a result, I ended up with my own set of issues around money. Today’s episode is a bit of a departure for me, since I rarely focus on money, but that’s what we’re diving into today.

Helping Women Make a Unique Life Pivot with Dominique Velasquez

Helping Women Make a Unique Life Pivot with Dominique Velasquez

You ever have that feeling that you should be happier than you are? Maybe you think that in general, things are going pretty OK in your life, and for sure a lot of people have it worse than you do, and yet you feel like you should be happier? You wonder what’s wrong with you? I’ll out myself and say that yes, I’ve been there many times in my life. If this at all resonates for you, then I’ve got the best guest for you! Today I’m sitting down with Dominique Velasquez to talk about:
The guilt that comes from feeling that you have no good reason to be anxious or unhappy The search for external validation Her struggles with opioids Her amazing recovery (and how my podcast helped!!! – I am so grateful to know this!!!) Her key understanding that the problem is not the circumstance in which we find ourselves, it’s… (you’ll have to listen to hear the rest!) The devastating effect of shame How the tools that Dominique has developed help other women to feel fulfilled and whole inside Dominique’s PIVOTT program About Dominique Velasquez
I spent my life trying to prove my worth by achieving things. However, there was no achievement big enough to fill the hole I had in my heart. I kept feeling empty like something was missing, and I just could not figure out why. I’d smile and put on a happy face to the world, but internally I was dying. In 2010 I got diagnosed with endometriosis, & quickly found myself fully addicted to opiates in desperation to numb the pain. At that time in my life, I looked to have it all, but I felt empty & unfulfilled! Constantly thinking “What is wrong with me?” I was dripping in shame from living a double life, pretending to be fine. The shame of being found out stopped me from seeking the treatment that I desperately wanted. I truly believed that my worth came from outside of me. Then I discovered self-development, and my life took a 180-degree pivot. I quickly learned that everything I needed was inside me and that I am the creator of my life. My purpose is to guide women in discovering that everything they need is inside them.

Binging and Loving It

First, Carin has a wonderful style of speaking that is so easy and interesting to listen. I'm super engaged when listening to this podcast. Her content is amazing in such a way that you can learn and be entertained at the same time. Loved her episode on Taking Control of Our Relationship With Money. As a financial coach I’ve listened to a lot of people talk about money stories and narratives, but This episode has some of the best commentary on the subject I have ever heard.

AMAZING🫶🏻✨

This podcast was the very first one I found and I literally listened to EVERY single episode. The tools that she shares have changed my life🤍 Hands down one of the best self development podcasts available 🔥

Carin is EveryWoman

These words popped into my mind when I started to write this review, but I had to double-check the meaning: every(wo)man is an ordinary and humble protagonist whose benign conduct fosters the audience to identify with her. Maybe not ordinary, but all the rest fits. Carin speaks out for all women while still honoring our differences. Practically any woman can find podcasts here that pierce the heart and elevate the soul.
