48: On Egg Donation
One of Alison’s besties went through the process of “donating” her eggs and we thought y’all would be interested in hearing about the experience! Through interview, observation, and a smidge of research, we’ve got some info about what it’s like to donate your eggs that’s a little more in depth than what you’ll find in everyone’s favorite Craigslist ad: “EARN $50,000 BECOMING AN EGG DONOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!” *episodes are being released a lil out of order but let’s run with it

46: On Profanity, Swear Words, Cussin'!
Dang, fetch, oh, my heck, what the holy scrud? H-E- Double hockey sticks, that′s frickin', flippin′ crud! Let's talk about baaaad words and why we say them. Where did they come from? Are they beneficial? Does your brain treat them like normal, non-swear words? This was supposed to be on whether women are judged more harshly for cursing than men, but Alison misunderstood the assignment so it's more of a psych deep dive. Enjoy, ya heathens!

44: On "Daddy Issues"
Crazy how when a girl is abused by one of her primary caregivers, someone can throw it back as an insult later. Colloquially, "daddy issues" means a woman who's more promiscous, needy, and probably dates older men. When it should actually mean "survivor who lived through childhood trauma and what the fuck is wrong with fathers for screwing over their daughters like that". Guess it just doesn't have the same ring to it. **Content warning for lengthy discussions of trauma & its lifelong effects.** (But don't worry we laugh at inappropriate times to lighten the mood, as usual.)
