After spending years dispensing bitchy fashion commentary on their viral Instagram account Every Outfit on Sex and the City, hosts Chelsea Fairless and Lauren Garroni realized that they have highly specific opinions about other things, too. Every Outfit is a weekly show born from our deeply unhealthy, lifelong obsession with fashion and popular culture. It’s like The View (but less geriatric) meets Fashion Police from two best friends who have spoken at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, but have also done SponCon for vibrators. New episodes every Friday.

On Lauren’s Big Fat Italian Wedding

We didn’t plan to release this episode, but our conversation about Lauren’s wedding ran a tad long and was a bit too revealing for the Friday podcast, so we decided to release it here instead. More wedding talk coming on tomorrow’s episode as well 💍

On Lauren’s Wedding, Richard Simmons, Faye Dunaway

Vance, Glenn Close’s iconic makeunder in Hillbilly Elegy, the RNC’s MVP “Babydog”, Stickermule’s cancellation, Vogue’s new political correspondent Jack Schlossberg, and Max’s Faye Dunaway documentary Faye. We also pay tribute to the icons that passed away last week: Shelley “Texas Twiggy” Duvall, our favorite Gaultier model Dr. Ruth, Shannon “Why are you pulling my dick?” Doherty, and fitness guru Richard Simmons, who’s fascinating history as a jewelry designer and salad bar entrepreneur was recently chronicled on Laura Helms’ essential Substack. Oh, and Lauren’s wedding is in The New York Times! It’s giving Natasha and Big.

    On The Birdcage

Come on, shake your body baby, do the conga! Today we’re revisiting Mike Nichols’ masterpiece The Birdcage, a rare Clinton-era film that dared to ask the question: what if gay people were happy and successful and had families and shit? Set in the idyllic paradise that is ‘90s Miami Beach, this film truly has everything: Nathan Lane as a Glamorous Woman Having a Nervous Breakdown, butch Robin Williams, fabulous Ann Roth costumes, on-point Kate Moss references, Christine Baranski’s slim pins,
Miami Modern (MiMo) architecture, Hank Azaria’s problematic gay Guatemalan accent, and more! Plus: a discussion of the groundbreaking 1978 film La Cage aux Folles and the 1983 broadway musical of the same name.

On Sex and the City: The Chicken Dance

Today we’re revisiting a high note of season two “The Chicken Dance,” a.k.a the one where Carrie has to make a speech at a virtual stranger's wedding. Topics discussed include whirlwind romances, unhinged ceramic frog tables, Samantha’s déjà f**k, the illustrious career of guest star Carrie Preston, Charlotte’s “slutty” bridesmaid dress, Donna Karen’s incredible late 90’s ad campaigns, a Chat GPT Sex and the City inspired wedding speech, and more!

Cute

Long time listener but lately Lauren is so condescending in her opinions lighten up girlie make fun of yourself once in a while when you’re wrong or not sure. I think it’ll be more enjoyable again if she’s not sneering her views at everyone 🫶 the SATC recaps are fun

John Corbett

After the hosts’ negative comments about John Corbett because he’d mentioned having some regrets about putting so much of his time and energy into an acting career , I had to listen to the podcast where he supposedly said this. If you put his comments in context they are actually thoughtful and honest. They were a very small % of everything he talked about. He’s had an amazing career and his recall of details is so interesting.

I’ve noticed that some podcast hosts are starting to sound bitter. Maybe too much competition.

Something with the audial

Maybe it’s the engineering issue. But the audio if the podcast is very noticeably lower than other podcasts and music contents. With the same volume setup, it’s ok to listen to this podcast but when the next episode of a new podcast comes up it is soo loud.
