Part 1: Ebenezer Scrooge and His Unexpected Visit from Jacob Marley
In Part 1, we are introduced to Ebenezer Scrooge, a reviled businessman known for his tight-fistedness and disdain for Christmas. We learn about his relationship with his deceased business partner, Jacob Marley, and his encounters with solicitors, his clerk Bob Cratchit, and his nephew Frederick. Scrooge's deep-seated dislike for the holiday and his miserly ways are highlighted, setting the stage for the arrival of the ghost of Jacob Marley, who warns Scrooge that he will be visited by three spirits. Such an absolute delight, the actors did a fantastic job. Hope Media stayed true to the original and included the most important element: God and Jesus. My children loved this production!

A classic Christmas tale retold with fantastic actors including Sean Astin, Ben Barnes, and John Rhys Davies. I appreciate that this story touches more of Scrooge’s life than we’ve seen in other retellings.
I thought Sean Astin would be an odd choice for a historically English character, but he does a great job in this role. I will absolutely keep this one around to relisten each year.
