MBA Episode 52: Doubting Dawkins – Oh, Nuts! What Do Whale Testicles Have to Do With Evolution?

We took a break from our Dawkins series to discuss the racial tensions that have been building in our world (listen here), but we’re back with part 10 of our ongoing talk about Dawkins’s book, Outgrowing God. Today, we’re going to look at another area of his expertise, though he hasn’t really been involved in […]

MBA Episode 51: We Will Not Be Divided: Grieving with Those Who Grieve, and the Necessary Process of Building Kingdom Community

I (Hillary) titled this podcast/blog about a thousand times because I couldn’t quite figure out how to summarize our main message. The messy art of kingdom community? No. I hate the word messy. It’s so misused. (But this topic is legit “messy” if there ever were one.) Grieving with those who grieve? Yes, but that’s […]

MBA Episode 49: The Unexpected Blessings of COVID

Whenever we turn on the TV these days, it feels like we’re being bombarded with bad news. Because of that, we decided to record this “chaser” episode of the Mama Bear Apologetics podcast. MBA Episode 48: Doubting Dawkins – No, the Human Eye Isn’t an Example of Bad Design (a Discussion on Design Constraints)

In this episode of the Mama Bear Apologetics podcast, we’re continuing our dissection of Richard Dawkins’ book, Outgrowing God, in our Doubting Dawkins series. Today, Hillary and Amy discuss chapters 7 and 8, which were the easiest to go through of all of the chapters for us. In Hillary’s opinion, this is where the book […]

I was ready for their questions!

Even with a degree in biblical studies including apologetics, this book and the podcast have touched on so much I needed to hear. Bringing apologetics into the sphere of parenthood has changed our home. After reading the book, I immediately set to work finding and incorporating children's books about apologetics into our reading plan in my home, and it has fueled incredible conversations with my kids... converations I was ready for because of Mama Bear Apologetics! My kids came to me with their questions and thoughts, and it would bring to my mind something I'd read in Mama Bear Apologetics, and I found myself prepared wth a strong answer. I'm very grateful.

How do you eat an elephant

Have no fear, no one is eating elephants! But this is my go to phrase when tackling BIG tasks. Bite by bite. Breaking down truth, arguments, and equipping mamas to fight against lies that surround our families. That is what this podcast does! I am so thankful it was recommended to me, way back when it started! Thankful that I can pop in an earbud, fold that laundry, and learn ways to keep my family foundation built on the truth of the ROCK! You guys are the best and I pray for you as you keep equipping the faithful to fight against lies and lean into truth!
