    TANEKA LEWIS

    TANEKA LEWIS

Taneka Lewis is a former collegiate basketball player, computer engineer, physicist, author and blogger. She is also a mental health advocate, which is motivated by her experiences with post-athlete depression and other life challenges. Taneka and I also discussed the lack of diversity in the classes she took for her degrees as well as in her field now. Inclusion and diversity are so important in the classroom and workforce, and we are slowly yet surely seeing changes with women and POC founding and running more businesses. Here’s a link to Taneka’s book: https://www.tidbitsoftee.com/growth-in-the-garden and blog: https://www.tidbitsoftee.com/cup-of-tea-personal-growth ! Enjoy the show!! JORDYN CALHOUN

    JORDYN CALHOUN

Jordyn Calhoun is a business owner, mental health advocate and mother. I’ve been familiar with Jordyn since high school and she was even kind enough to come to one of my college basketball games in Alabama! She’s a very rare type of person to come across-EXTREMELY kind, intelligent, passionate, and the true definition of free spirited. Jordyn isn’t afraid to be herself and thankfully that showed during this recording! We chatted about 1.) motherhood, 2.) protecting our Black men, 3.) advocating for mental health, and 4.) the importance of traveling. I had so much fun during this episode and am excited for you all to hear it! JOSH NADZAM

    JOSH NADZAM

Josh is everything you’d want your own son to be. Intelligent. Funny. Handsome. A stand up guy. Very kind. I can go on! I enjoyed my conversation and tome with Josh and learned so much from him. In this episode you’ll hear about 1.) his journey from being a high school athlete to choosing track and field at UK 2.) how certain experiences back home led him to living his purpose and settling down in Kentucky and 3.) his opinion on racism and the current state of America. I’m so excited to be back for season 3 and hope you all enjoy!! My Mother Doesn’t Love HERSELF & it Hurts Me: I Gots Mommy Issues 🥴🤯💔

My Mother Doesn’t Love HERSELF & it Hurts Me: I Gots Mommy Issues 🥴🤯💔

Real life convo about my mommy issues. Very empty waiting on a mother’s embrace that I never have or will feel. Not physical. Nah, mental emotional spiritual. It’s hurt not having a mom I can call and just vent to. Just be me. Without being criticized or told who to be what to be what to do how to do it and why. So I’m sorry to everyone I’ve ever done that to. My brother. My wife. My exes. My friends. I’m sorry. I’m sorry I pushed whoever away because I never felt real love. My parents don’t love themselves. They could never love ME. They love their idea of me and because I’m not that, never have been, I’m not desirable as a daughter to them. I’m in control now. I take full responsibility. I can’t be shit nobody want me to be. You ain’t God.

MARK RUSSELL: London based Emotional Intelligence Coach

I’m so glad you joined us today! In this episode, you’ll hear Mark Russell and I discuss the power of controlling your emotions to achieve your absolute highest potential. Now, controlling doesn’t mean suppressing or ignoring. Controlling means possessing the skillset to experience what we’re feeling, understand why we feel that way, let it go, and take any other POSITIVE necessary action. *FUN FACT: Mark is a former English professional rugby standout, playing for two of the top rugby teams, the London Harelquins and Blackheath. I didn’t know this until Mark told me during the interview!!*

ISAIAH LAMB: Pro basketball player, personal trainer & biz owner

ISAIAH LAMB: Pro basketball player, personal trainer & biz owner

Isaiah Lamb has one heck of a story! I’m grateful he came on SYT! to share it. Isaiah grew up in homelessness with his parents and siblings, all while going to school and playing basketball at an extremely high level. He suffered two ACL’s tears: one in 9th grade, one in 12th. All of his scholarships went out the window, except a few. He graduated from Marist, is now playing overseas, is a personal trainer during the off-season, a business owner, and is a man of service! I’m excited for you all to hear Isaiah’s episode! Thanks for tuning in!! Make sure to RATE, REVIEW, and SUBSCRIBE! @fitlikelamb (YouTube & IG)|@thelambshow (YouTube)
