Say Why To Drugs
The internet is full of misinformation about recreational drugs - both legal and illegal. Dr Suzi Gage, a psychologist interested in understanding associations between substance use and mental health, tackles one substance per episode - providing information about what we know - the harms, but also potential benefits of these substances. There's no hype, no spin and no judgement, just information. In the first series, she is in conversation with rapper Scroobius Pip. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Just found your podcast. Absolutely refreshing to hear the facts-good and bad. Not many places left to listen or read anything like this. Great job!

I listened to the cannabis episode and she could not even explain the endocannabinoid system which is found in all vertebrate creatures and this is why endo-cannabinoids and photo-cannabinoids actually work in our system. The adolescent brain grows until about 24 years of age. I could keep picking this apart but I’ll stop. Just do your research before you speak and misinform people. Maybe get an expert to help you better talk about the topics.
