Creating A Bigger Life through Yoga & Adventure Retreats

Creating A Bigger Life through Yoga & Adventure Retreats

Carrie Hoffman, founder of Bigger Life Adventures, shares her experience organizing yoga and adventure retreats. She discusses her own journey of sobriety and how it inspired her to create retreats that are supportive of people in recovery. Carrie’s retreats focus on authentic yoga, trauma-informed practices, and creating a community of like-minded individuals. She offers accessible retreat options, such as the Catalina Island Hiking & Yoga Retreat, where a gear haul service is provided to make hiking more accessible for all participants.

Bigger Life Adventures offers transformative retreats that combine yoga, adventure, and sobriety. The retreats provide a safe space for people to disconnect from their daily lives and connect with nature, themselves, and a supportive community. The retreats incorporate yoga classes, special workshops, and outdoor adventures based on the location. Each retreat is unique and offers a different experience, such as tree climbing in Costa Rica or backpacking in Catalina Island. Bigger Life Adventures aims to make their retreats accessible to all, offering recovery scholarships and creating a supportive environment for people in recovery.

If it Doesn’t Exist, Make it Yourself with Maria Boustead

If it Doesn’t Exist, Make it Yourself with Maria Boustead

We are joined by Maria Boustead of Po Campo today to talk about how a want & need sparked her motivation to start her own business. Bike bags have been around a long time, but Maria wasn’t quite finding what she needed to fit her lifestyle. She had the bike, but she needed the perfect bag. As a cyclist and a professional industrial designer, she had a lot to carry—from commuting and working to meeting up with friends. She needed a versatile bag that could keep up with her busy day and still look great.

Po Campo merges Maria’s expertise in product design with her passion for cycling. Unable to find a bag that seamlessly transitioned from bike to everyday use, she decided to create one herself. Say goodbye to sweaty straps, distractions, and dull colors with Po Campo.

A Force To Be Reckoned With: Taylor-Ann of Ride Force

A Force To Be Reckoned With: Taylor-Ann of Ride Force

We had an amazing conversation with Taylor-Anne Smith, founder of Ride Force, about inclusivity, discovering mountain biking, and finding your people. All of us have had our own experiences with ill-fitting gear, especially as women in typically male-dominated sports. Taylor-Anne shares how she got into mountain biking, the start of her amazing brand, and some fun stuff on the horizon.

Ride Force was born out of wanting EVERY. BODY. to feel badass on a bike while focusing on the trail and not the fit of your gear. Taylor-Anne is doing phenomenal at this and supporting many different organizations to help mountain biking be more accessible to all.

AlaskanLiz ,

So relatable and honest!

I love listening to this show, especially when I’m out running or biking or doing any outdoor activity. The conversations are so honest and relatable, and they do a great job of unpacking all of the expectations that society now puts on us in this day & age of social media and instant gratification. Really encouraging and motivating toward doing what is good for YOU

Feels like coffee with a friend!

Feels like sitting outdoors chatting over coffee with your best friends! Tarin is so enthusiastic and relatable and every episode gives me a nugget to think about for the next few days. So cool to see the show merge a bunch of passions and interests that help me learn new things and connect with new people I want to know more about.
