    One of the most important aspects of having a thriving practice is creating meaningful connections with your patients. One of the BEST ways to do that is by celebrating or remembering the memorable moments in their lives. 📸 💭
     
    Your patients will feel SO special when they get a card from you congratulating them on a recent professional success 🏆, celebrating their birthday 🤩 or sending flowers upon the loss of a precious family pet. 🐾
     
    I’m willing to bet money that if you make your patients feel like they truly belong in your practice, you’ll create your own fan base, and they’ll tell everyone they know how incredibly thoughtful and considerate you are. That’s the best kind of marketing there is! ✨

    Three Empowering Questions to Help You Break the Cycle

    I recently attend a Mastermind retreat and celebrated a BIG milestone birthday (cheers to turning 21 again! 🥳), which led me to zoom out a bit and take a 30,000-foot look at where I am heading - in my life and my business.  
    As the first session of the Mastermind began, we were asked three very poignant questions, right off the bat. And each one of them came loaded with some really hard, but important revelations that I want to share.
    All of us have been caught in the cycle of “I want… or I need…. or I should… (fill in the blank).” Whether you want to grow your practice, make more money, pay off debt, or spend more time with the fam, we often get stuck always “wanting” but never actually doing.
    What’s missing is the action step. 🥴
    And that’s literally THE most important part. Without taking action, it’s highly likely that nothing will change. EVER. 🚫
    And because of this, we end up with a “to-do” list a mile long that keeps us busy but we never actually make progress toward what we really want to accomplish. It’s a vicious cycle.
    But this is not a one-way ticket on the Guilt Trip Express, I promise. Because honestly, I’m right there with you, feeling the same things. 💺
    Here’s the big question: “If nothing changes, will you be happy with where you are one year from now?”
    If the answer is no, buckle up. Cuz we’re gonna get serious about changing this around – and we’re gonna do it together. 🫶🏻

    This week I have my long-time colleague and friend, Andra Hall on the podcast to chat about why she decided to completely change the focus of her practice and work with patients inside a very specific yet controversial niche, one that conventional medicine largely discredits or ignores.  
    As a Physician’s Assistant and someone who has an extensive medical background, Andra realized there were so many people desperately looking for someone to listen and acknowledge the validity of their symptoms but didn’t have anywhere to go. Knowing that she would be able to help them regain their health, she dove headfirst into this controversial niche that most others wouldn’t touch with a 10-foot pole. 🫣
     
    Now, she loves being able to give her patients the opportunity to work on removing the underlying cause, supporting the body’s innate ability to heal, and most importantly, giving them hope that they truly can feel better.

    A great customer experience just can’t be beaten. I mean wouldn’t you keep going back to someone who gave you a red carpet experience from start to finish? 🎩🏆
     
    You can ensure that your customer experience is dialed in with a “secret shopper.” These are individuals who provide valuable insight (AKA both good *and* constructive criticism) regarding how you and your employees interface with patients. 💬
     
    They gather alllllll the information you can think of so that you can see just how smoothly everything is going behind the curtain or if there are some holes in your bucket that need patching. 🪣
     
    Now, you may be asking, “Well.. what if they say something a little less than friendly?” 😐
     
    To which I would say that if you want to grow, have a better practice, serve more people, and get more referrals, then you’ve got to be open to receiving feedback, refining your processes, and making changes.
     
    Some things may be hard to hear and I get it, but I promise – a good secret shopper is worth their weight in GOLD for your practice. 🥇
     
    Market researchers and big corporations secret shop themselves alllll the time. So, even if you’re a solo practitioner or run a wellness center, secret shopping can provide great feedback!

The best teacher of FM and a business coach too!

Dr Ronda is the best teacher for a new FM practitioner I have found. She is entertaining, informative, engaging and full of great ideas. I don’t have enough time to learn from all the resources she makes available both free and through subscriptions. What an amazing resource!

Functional mentorship

I am fairly new to listening to this podcast- I was introduced to Rhonda through a class
she teaches at FMU. As a physical therapist, who is so intrigued with functional medicine and swimming upstream as an entrepreneur.. trying to find my way into helping people on a larger scale, I gain motivation, mentorship, and professional value from tuning in. Rhonda is a real life entrepreneur, sharing from the heart- both humbling moments and successful wins to shed relatable material for every person listening. I loved the episode “Make your grass greener one blade at a time”. Let’s get out of our own way and move forward. No perfection. Highly recommend!
