    “The earlier we can learn these skills and tools, the more beneficial it will be for us as individuals as well as a part of society, so why not start teaching our kids as early as possible!?” - Danielle
    Danielle, a former DI ice hockey player and professional athlete, hails from Southern CA, where her love for the sport blossomed. Introduced to skating at the tender age of 4 and hockey at 5, she quickly found her passion. While pursuing a BA in Sociology at Providence College on a full athletic scholarship for ice hockey, Danielle led her team as captain during her senior year. Her professional career led her to the NWHL, where she served as assistant captain for the Oakville Ice for two years before playing professionally in Lugano, Switzerland, for HC Lugano. Alongside her athletic pursuits, Danielle earned an MA in Sport & Exercise Psychology, paving her way into mental skills coaching. As the CEO of Peak Performance Training LLC since 2010, Danielle has been dedicated to empowering athletes, coaches, and parents, focusing on the mental aspect of performance. Notably, she serves as the Official Mental Skills Coach for the USA Hockey National Development Camp.
     
    Danielle is also celebrated as the author of the best-selling book, "The Empowered Athlete—Self-Confidence, Self-Acceptance, and Self-Worth: An Athlete’s Guide to Excellence".

    Healing NL is a non-profit organization serving Newfoundlanders & Labradorians, committed to increasing public awareness of the province's plentiful holistic health products and services, and making them accessible to those invested in their well-being.
     
    Healing NL also strives to cultivate a supportive network for the individual practitioners and small businesses in the holistic health community through our comprehensive directory, membership benefits and other initiatives.
     
    Established in 2017, the directory has been steadily growing, as are the connections between the members, their products and services, with the people of the beautiful Newfoundland.

    About the Founder:
    Joan Dohey is a retired primary teacher whose mission is to help others live more healthy, fulfilled lives. Through life’s experiences, observation and study, she has learned a great deal about health and healing  on all levels. With that in mind, she has certified in modalities that address problems on the Physical, mental/emotional and spiritual levels.
     Joan knows from experience that recovering from an illness takes time and effort, and as a result, embraces prevention and self-care to maintain good health. Through a number of modalities, she offers help to those who are looking to maintain good health or who are on the path to wellness.
    Her philosophy at its core is that self-love is crucial and her aim is to spread the word and help others discover and cultivate that self-love and to provide some tangible tools to use on an every day basis. Taking care of ourselves on all levels is important to our overall health, and to help us live a joyful life. 
     Joan is passionate about distance healing methods, so that people can access healing even when they cannot attend sessions in person. Too many people have limited access to healing practitioners and distance work can effectively address that problem.
    This year, Joan is studying Yoga Teacher Training to enhance offerings to clients.
    In this episode, you'll learn about the different types of distant healing, how to choose the right modality for you, and how to get the most out of your distant healing sessions.

    Ann Diment is Empowering Professionals to Thrive as Resilient and
    Compassionate Leaders

    Ann Diment has spent her adult life recovering from cPTSD after a traumatic
    childhood bouncing between divorced parents and living with an alcoholic and mentally ill mother. She spent her 20s and 30s rebuilding her life after leaving home at 17, and most of her 40s trying to understand why she kept burning out & how to prevent it happening again.

    Recently, aged 52 she realised that she was neurodivergent, so is embarking on a new
    learning and healing journey. She campaigns, trains, and coaches on creating resilience and smashing stigma about mental health and has written a bestselling book 'Turning the Tables on Burnout' to share the tools that have enabled her to now live a more joyful and less-stressed life.

    Ann has over 20 years’ experience in managing workplace wellbeing, reaching the top of her profession as a chartered fellow of the institution of occupational safety and health (CFIOSH) and gives back by mentoring women in Safety leadership roles and judging an international workplace safety award. She discovered EFT (tapping) in 2018 and found it so transformational for her own recovery and healing that she trained as an advanced practitioner and now draws on her lived experience of mental health stigma and cPTSD recovery, to offer trauma-informed transformational group and personal resilience coaching.

    She is an ambassador for ADHD UK and is training as a specialist ADHD coach.

    Ann also sustains a socially engaged creative practice as an exhibiting artist, published poet, social justice campaigner and performs with several bands around the UK. She is host of the creating resilience podcast where she invites guests to share stories and tools to bring more creativity into your life to achieve better balance and flow.

    Ann can offer listeners insights into her own recovery journey, tips on managing and
    preventing stress, bringing more creativity into your life and a whole host of coaching tools and tips from her professional practice.

    Most of all, her passion is talking about mental health, so more people feel safe to reach out for support when they need it. Her mission is to build resilient and engaged communities, smash the stigma around mental health, and empower individuals to embrace their creativity.

Amy’s background as an EMS worker and Raiki master really informs her approach to interviews where she shares an open mind and heart to various complimentary practices that can support healing and wellness. She has a beautiful chakra program that is a comprehensive 14 week exploration of the chakras and of course some very good interviews.
