Dr. Lindsay Chimileski is a naturopathic physician with an enthralled devotion to herbal medicine, plants, fungi and healing the root cause of illness. She has been participating in leading botanical excursions through the Jamaican jungle for over 10 years and is an avid hiker, forager and mushroom hunter. Dr. Chimileski is an experienced professor, leading the botanical medicine curriculum, hosting clinic shifts and teaching advanced nutrition courses at the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine. She has years of experience lecturing to both the public and professionally at medical continuing education conferences. Dr. Chimileski also teaches a variety of online and in person medicinal mushroom courses. She is an advocate for the mindful practice of mushroom identification and foraging. Dr. Chimileski’s private practice is Hawthorn Holistic Health in Hamden, Connecticut. Atava Garcia Swiecicki is guided by her dreams and her Mexican, Polish, Hungarian and Diné ancestors. She studied Feminist Studies at Stanford University and received her master’s degree in the Indigenous Mind Program at Naropa University Oakland. Atava has studied healing arts extensively for over thirty years and has been mentored by herbalists, curanderas and traditional knowledge keepers. She works as a clinical herbalist and teacher and is dedicated to remembering the healing traditions of her ancestors and supporting others to reconnect with their ancestral medicine. She also loves helping people build relationships with plants, whom she considers some of our greatest teachers and healers. She is the founder of the Ancestral Apothecary School of Herbal, Folk and Indigenous Medicine on Ohlone territory in Oakland, CA. She’s currently living in Tewa Pueblo territory in Albuquerque, New Mexico where she finished her first book called The Curanderx Toolkit: Reclaiming Ancestral Herbal Medicine and Rituals for Healing.

Dr. Radley Ramdhan completed his undergraduate degree at Barry University in North Miami, Florida where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a minor in Chemistry. He then attended University of Bridgeport in Connecticut where he completed his Master of Science in Acupuncture and Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. During his time at University of Bridgeport, he also served in the United States Army as part of the New York Army National Guard for 6 years through which he grew a special interest in working with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) patients, and as a result completed his thesis on Understanding and Treating PTSD using a Naturopathic Approach. Dr. Radley served a tour with his New York Army National Guard Unit in Kuwait and Iraq in support of Operation Inherent Resolve (2016/17). Dr. Radley has also been co-authors to two articles published by Naturopathic Doctor News and Review relating to PTSD and TBI, and now the author of his first published book "Trauma to PTSD: Root Causes to Healing Branches". He has done several presentations on this topic with various organizations including the AANMC, and continues to do so recently being featured as a Keynote Speaker at the Global Virtual Panel of Veterans Event.

Guest: Gary Adelman - Alexander Technique
Gary Adelman is a certified Alexander Technique teacher by the American Society for the Alexander Technique who has been in private practice in Glen Cove, NY for 29 years. Gary completed a 3 year , 1600 hour Alexander Technique teacher training program at the Alexander Technique Center , followed by post-graduate study at the Alexander Technique School of Shaike Hermelin in Tel Aviv, Israel. Gary has taught this method at Princeton University ,the Omega Institute and the Israeli Tennis Center, as well as giving numerous presentations at local libraries.
I just discovered this show today and I love it. It has everything a progressive healthcare provider looks for. The host and guests are educated and the suggestions are medically sound. Very good podcast!
