How Do You Make Alzheimers Funny?

How Do You Make Alzheimers Funny?

How do you make Alzheimer’s funny? On this episode of N&H our special guest Dayna Steele joins us to talk about her theatrical performance of "The Woman in the Mirror," a dark comedy about Dayna's journey navigating through her mother's Alzheimers diagnosis.
Dayna Steele was one of the top rock DJs in the country and made waves on Rock 101 KLOL. Rolling Stones, Van Halen, Joan Jett, and many other rock legends knew her on a first-name basis. Then, she became a best-selling author, a motivational speaker, an entrepreneur, a candidate for Congress, and, now, a playwright and a Broadway investor. But, along her public journey, she also faced personal struggles. One low point was her mother's battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She wrote her experiences and frustration of being a caretaker into a book, which is now being adapted into a play, "The Woman in the Mirror".
