Meet Julia. She has built a community on IG based on her own experiences with grief. In a place where it all feels superficial, she makes sure to educate people and share resources with those who need it.
Julia Morin is a writer and a grief specialist, educator and advocate, as well as the face behind the Instagram community @girl_meets_grief, which she launched over Mother’s Day weekend in 2021. She is a childhood parent loss survivor whose mother died suddenly and tragically nearly 30 years ago, two months after she turned eight years old—and less than one week after Mother’s Day —and she has experienced a number of other losses in her life.
She is fiercely passionate about normalizing conversations and ending the stigma around grief, as she continues to navigate the various manifestations of this significant early loss. Passionate about work around mother loss and childhood loss, as a result of her lived experiences. Her approach to grief support is rooted in the belief that grief, like love, lasts forever–and while we never “get over” it or “move on,” we can learn to move forward with it, live alongside it, and integrate it into our lives.
Julia’s writing on grief and mental health has been published by Chicken Soup for the Soul, The Mighty and The Manifest-Station among others, and she has been a guest on podcasts including Got Grief, How to Grieve and Daughters Without Moms as well as a live appearance on The Power of Love Show with TJ and Taj Jackson of the Dee Dee Jackson Foundation.

Down to earth & inspiring
I like her, she is very down to earth. I like that she doesn't gloss over anything, she's not as polished as others, but to me, that's better than some of these influencers who seem fake. She's not the generic beautiful 20-30 something, she's more like me, your average, everyday woman. She makes me excited to believe in myself and take action.

I have been with Yadsia for YEARS. I must pop in and say this, because I feel like this is a wonderful choice for a beginner especially. I will be on this journey too. I have no website, no products, and have question after question because I’m trying to understand all the things. She answers your questions, is transparent, and HONEST. YOU CAN COUNT ON HER for support and straight talk. She is also kind, responsive and genuine. She just gives and gives, and rethinks her path to serve others. Be confident in joining. Her advice is smart and thoughtful. Her expertise and experience is well worth the investment. Just do it, you will not regret this one for sure. (I have regretted many others. She is the real deal.) I have worked hard on refining my niche, changed many times, have moved to a new house, and my husband has had three strokes. I am just settling in and about to dive in.
