The elephant in the room
I’m trying to figure out why it took 13 minutes into a short 30 minute podcast to even mention that someone passed away? Just tiptoed around the moto drivers passing referring it as an “incident” rather than actually address it. I was looking forward to this podcast and hearing directly from Andrew himself as ironman has been alarming quietly about it but it’s clear that this was just a puff piece for him with no actual intentions of transparency or tough questions and then a solid pat on the back for him at the end. Big miss here.
Safe space for CEOs
Clearly Messick chose you for a reason to share his views of Hamburg. His statements were cringe worthy. How much longer until Ironman finds a new leader? Big fail on your part to hold him accountable. Basically his take is these types of events happen - this one was just on-camera? And, The municipality approved the course and safety plan? Who is the expert here? Garbage interview.
