    1) Saturated fats versus unsaturated fats
    2) High saturated fat rich low carb diet in healthy women markedly raises LDL-C and ApoB in just 4 weeks
    3) Plant-based dietary patterns typically lower LDL-C by 0.3 mmol/l which equates to about 20% reduction in risk of atherosclerotic CVD
    4) The hadza
    5) Red meat does increase LDL-C and ApoB
6)Swapping animal protein for plant protein improved LDL-C levels
    7) LDL-C is causal in development of atherosclerotic CVD
    8) All cells produce their own cholesterol and the brain does not rely on systemic cholesterol
    9) Low cholesterol does not negatively affect sex hormones
    10) When optimal protein is achieved (1.6g per Kg), there is no difference in strength/hypertrophy between animal and plant protein

You are reaching us over 60

I first heard you speak on MP media podcast and really enjoyed the interview. I just listened to your podcast with Dr. Gabrielle Lyon who I follow and think is amazing as well as you and I just wanted to let you know that you are reaching people over 60. You don’t only have one person listening to you, you have me now and I’m sure there are a lot more like me out there listening to you too. Thank you for sharing yourself with us.

Michaela-1994 ,

Certified Piedmontese

I always listen to your show and love the information you share. I am a major fan of Dr. Gabrielle Lyon and her protein first approach. I was so excited when you guys talked about Certified Piedmontese Beef! To answer your question - Yes! They are grass fed. My family raises them. They are third-party verified as well. I love that you don’t focus on fear mongering and recognize that lifting and eating protein is so good for you. Praying for you in your baby journey! Keep sharing the good news and remember “7 days without beef makes one weak” ;) P.S. checkout the Texas brand Rowe Casa and look into their hormone kit. Their entire line is amazing. An Okie listener, Michaela

Conspiracy theories with a side of fitness

Some of this content is great. Mari has a great story, has some good perspectives, and good guests. Some of them take too far. Gabrielle Lyon this week saying that Ozempic’s “bad rap” is a product of the food industry taking on big pharma. It goes a little far. Mari feeds in to a lot of these far out conspiracy theories. It’s a bit much and treads on misinformation.
