    Season 2, Episode 8 - Jayde Scukovic

    Season 2, Episode 8 - Jayde Scukovic

On today’s episode of The Sophie Lea Podcast I chat to the wonderful Jayde from Jayde Archives Photography. We discuss her journey into this industry and all the things she’s learnt along the way.

As someone who was born with a creative heart Jayde has always had a calling to make the world around her beautiful. So when the life changing opportunity of moving overseas to Switzerland in 2016 came up, she jumped at the chance to redefine her path, on her own terms. Delving into earning an income from her creativity, Jayde very quickly learnt one of her biggest life lessons so far - it took more than creating something pretty and then waiting for the luck of the world to notice to be successful. Then in 2020 when her world was turned upside down by becoming a mum paired with the global pandemic her lens very naturally shifted into the family photography world and Jayde Archives Photography was born. Since then she’s been honing in on both her art and her knowledge and implementation of running a business. Today she’s very proud to be booked to her full capacity, earning an income that surpasses what she would earn working full time for someone else.

So excited to keep listening to this podcast…

I have admired Sophie’s work (from the U.S.) for some time now so I was very excited to see that she launched a podcast. She has the most lovely voice, so already you know you could listen to her talk all day, but even with only 4 episodes released I am already grateful for the content. I particularly love hearing about other creators and their process, what motivates them and their “why”. It’s the behind the scenes information about people’s business that you might not necessarily hear otherwise. For someone trying to grow my business I really enjoy hearing about struggles, strengths and their perspectives. I also appreciate how everything comes off as uplifting and encouraging in the conversations. I can’t wait for new episodes!
