Cousins and life-long best friends Rachel and Megan Wilford do just about everything together… including blowing up their lives in their late-20s. Just one month away from her wedding day (the second wedding she planned to the same man, in fact), Rachel took a leap of faith and ended her 10-year relationship when she discovered her fiancé was a serial cheater. At the same time, Megan was quickly inching her way out of her 7-year marriage to a man she had been with since she was 16. But having the courage to start over was only just the beginning. In this podcast, the two women deep dive into their heartbreaks but purposefully use dark humor to guide them through, as they navigate entering the dating world for the very first time, healing their past wounds, learning how to better love themselves, exploring the world and relationships through a fresher and wiser lens, and more.

Buffy and M ,

Rachel’s story is gritty with a healthy dose of humor.

I’m thankful you were able to break out of the toxic relationship with the wolf. I am so impressed by your strength to finally kick him to the curb. You absolutely deserve SO MUCH MORE than what he was offering. Stay resilient!

Very effin brave, strong women

Firstly, it is hard enough for a survivor of abuse to speak out about what they’ve experienced. The shame and guilt usually keep most silent.

Secondly, to do so in the face of your abuser being right out there, in your community, and still find a way to be light hearted and funny? Bra-effin-ve!!!

You are giving hope to others who have been thusly abused, and I am proud of you for it. Love you!

Amazing

Rachel and Megan have such a way with words. Rachel candidly tells her story so well and brings a humor that lightens the load of the trauma she is unfolding. Megan is able to ask questions that show it’s a conversation between sisters/friends rather than a recorded interview/podcast. There isn’t an awkward moment and I was engrossed the entire two hours of episode two. I know this story intimately but hearing it start to finish it felt like I was hearing it for the first time again. Highly recommend if you love juicy gossip, target, girl power, double chins, and healing through heartbreak and trauma!
