    Dr. Meyer is an internationally-renowned expert in exercise-based and behavioral interventions for adults with mental illness, particularly depression. His research is focused on understanding how exercise, movement, and sedentary time influence the way people think and feel, and developing interventions that most effectively use movement to treat mental illness. His two current NIH-funded research trials examine the effects of aerobic and resistance exercise within depression treatment for adults.
