You're Already Treating The Viscera... You Just Don't Know It

What if the reason your go-to treatment isn’t working… isn’t because it’s the wrong technique? In this episode of the Unreal Results podcast, I unpack a question I’ve been sitting with a lot lately: how much do precision and specificity actually matter in treatment? You’ll hear why I believe the right place to treat matters more than the right tool, and why even the most advanced technique can fall flat if it’s not directed by a clear assessment. I share examples from clinical practice and reflections from my own continuing education journey. I also share the backstory behind my new mini course, Go-To Treatments for the Viscera and Nervous System, and how it’s designed to challenge the idea that you need more fancy tools to get better results. (Spoiler: you probably already have what you need, you might just need a different lens to see it through.) Whether you’re feeling stuck with a tricky client or wondering if your treatment toolbox needs an upgrade, this episode will help you clarify what really creates change and how to get there without overcomplicating the process. Clinical Clarity Through Inhibition Tests

If you’ve ever asked yourself, “Where should I treat first,” this is the episode for you. This episode of the Unreal Results podcast, is all about one of my favorite tools that’s simple to implement and wildly effective at uncovering what’s actually driving pain: inhibition tests. You’ve probably heard me reference inhibition tests in past episodes and today I’m breaking them down into what they are, how they work, and why they can be a game-changer in identifying hidden drivers of pain, mobility limitations, and strength loss.  You’ll hear me talk about what makes a good inhibition test, why so many people get it wrong, and how this approach can take you from guessing to knowing exactly where to start treatment. Whether you'rve been using the LTAP™ for some time or just starting to question traditional orthopedic thinking, this episode will show you how to listen to the body in a whole new way and get those jaw-dropping “holy cow!” moments in your sessions. JUL 23

Teeth, Clenching, & CNS Tension: What You’re Missing

In this episode of the Unreal Results podcast, I unpack how something as small as a single tooth can ripple through the entire nervous system and impact everything from movement quality to emotional regulation. You’ll hear my traumatic dental experience that helped me understand how clenching patterns are tied to much more than the jaw.  Clenching isn’t just a bad habit, it’s a signal from the brainstem, often tied to unresolved stress, nervous system dysregulation, and patterns we’re not trained to look for. I discuss how stress, fear, and past procedures can affect cranial nerve input, especially through the trigeminal nerve, as well as the role of the reticular activating system and the tentorium play in influencing full-body tone. I also talk about why I’m cautious with dental work during an athlete’s season, what to look for in clients who might be clenching, and how you can support the system with simple tools or even just listening better to what the body is trying to say. If you’ve never considered how a tooth, or the nervous system's response to it, might be impacting your client outcomes, this episode is for you. Spinal Mobility Is The Most Underrated Tool In Your Practice

In this episode of the Unreal Results podcast, I’m talking all about the spine, not just as a mover or stabilizer, but as one of the body’s most important protectors.   You’ll hear why I believe spinal mobility is one of the most underrated keys to vitality, healing, and nervous system regulation. I break down how improving segmental movement in the spine can have cascading effects throughout the body, impacting everything from organ function and cerebrospinal fluid flow to emotional well-being and autonomic balance. I also share why so many clients “fail” traditional rehab and end up finding relief through approaches like Pilates or chiropractic care—and how that’s often a reflection of what standard treatment is missing. Make sure you tune in to learn why spine mobility might be the most underrated tool in your treatment plan. You’ll hear why addressing the bronchus can help with everything from shoulder and neck pain to foot pain, and why the mediastinum is one of the most powerful areas to assess and treat for whole-body changes. Guaranteeing Results... Until You Can't

What happens when you don’t get results in 1–3 visits? In this episode of the Unreal Results podcast, I get honest about some recent challenging cases and how they’ve affected my confidence and creativity. While I often talk about guaranteeing results in just a few visits, this week is a reminder of what it really means when that doesn’t happen and why that’s not a failure, but a signal to dig deeper. You’ll hear me break down two challenging client cases that pushed me to reassess everything from visceral and neural inputs, to collaborative care with the medical team, and lean on trusted peers for perspective. I also share what helped me stay grounded when self-doubt crept in and how you can apply those same strategies in your own practice. If you've ever second-guessed your skills when a case didn’t progress as expected, this episode is a must-listen. Integrating Visceral Work Into Orthopedic Practice

In this episode of the Unreal Results podcast, I’m joined by my friend and Doctor of Physical Therapy, Missy Albrecht. I first connected with Missy through our mutual friend Jill Miller, and I’ve been fascinated by her ability to seamlessly blend visceral and orthopedic approaches in a way that’s both grounded and effective. In this episode, Missy shares how her journey from chronic fatigue and unresolved back pain led her to the transformative power of visceral work. You’ll hear us talk about how the body compensates around internal dysfunction, what it takes to gain trust in your hands, and why general listening is often misunderstood. We also dive into how shifting our language around healing can empower both patients and clinicians. Whether you’re new to visceral manipulation or have been practicing it for years, this episode will reignite your curiosity, challenge your biases, and remind you that your most valuable tool is the ability to listen.
