When I first became interested in short term rentals I found this podcast. I became an avid listener, often going back and listening to episodes several times. Eventually we took the next step and signed up for one of the free webinars to get some more information. Shawn took the time to answer every single question in thoughtful detail and had us not only comfortable, but super excited to join the Vodyssey community. We have now been members for over a year and can say with certainty that these guys are the real deal. What you see in these episodes are what you get in real time. We are on the STR investment journey and feel blessed to have them along with us.

I started listening to Shawn’s podcast a few months ago and the content has helped me jump the learning curve of the short-term rental business. What drew me is Shawn’s authentic and practical views that will really teach the right way to approach this asset class.

One takeaway that I had from this episode was the excuse of not having enough time is not valid. The real reason is that it just isn’t a priority. Loved that concept.

Shawn’s approach to STR ownership and management resonates with us. He doesn’t sugar coat the work and effort it takes. But he also breaks down the Aquisition, set up and marketing phases in a way that anyone can understand. He has great expert guests and also everyday investors that help build your confidence. Every episode has a ton of value. I look forward to every new episode.

This is one of my favorite podcasts for information on the vacation rental space. Shawn really knows what he is talking about and his guests bring a wealth of information as well. I highly recommend adding this one into your rotation!

I listen to these podcasts occasionally for the raw data and information from Shawn and the guests. Shawn obviously has a lot of experience and is promoting his educational/RE investment business. However, with repeated comments every episode: “They didn’t understand the game…”, “You have to understand the game… Don’t get into something you don’t understand”, “I’ve been doing this for 22 years…” It seems like he is attempting to describe STRs as something unattainable without his knowledge, experience and resources. A touch of humility and less condescension would be nice. Otherwise, good information.
