    I have a lot of clients who are going through menopause, a point in time 12 months after a woman's last period & perimenopause, the time during which your body makes the natural transition to menopause.



    One of the effects of menopause is fluctuating estrogen levels; its effectiveness to modulate hunger hormones is reduced.[7] Menopausal women experience more intense hunger signals encouraging increased food intake which promotes weight gain.



    Yes, hormonal imbalances play a role in weight gain during menopause, but it is possible to lose weight still. But I am not about to mansplain the challenges of menopause and weight loss.



    That's why I sat down to talk with the no b.s. nutrition & strength coach Beth Feraco about her experience with weight management while going through menopause.

Accessible fitness and health advice

A lot of times the advice you hear on fitness and health seems like it’s not meant for us mere mortals.

As a family man and parent, who works a full time job, and has other obligations, lots of advice on nutrition and fitness just doesnt seem realistic for me.

If you’ve ever felt like that, this is the podcast for you. The way Chris (and his guests) talk about fitness gives me confidence that it’s not out of reach for me, and that I can make it work within my life - without it having to become my life (or for me - Chris has helped me STOP letting fitness play an overblown and disordered role in my life, and get better results anyway!)
