Well done & complementary podcast to the HBO mini-series, which was insightful, informative and highly entertaining.

I love the series immensely, but listening to this podcast has made me savour at another level each episode during my second go around. This series isn’t just history, it’s about human motivation, and lets us see the camaraderie formed when working with a team devoted to an objective. That’s where the stories about all the people making the series comes in. During each episode, the podcast allows me to feel I’m part of the making of it as well as into the history of the event itself. It’s let me in on it at both levels.

I loved this series and the podcasts. I do want to learn more. Every time I search for something of interest, I’m finding 10 more fascinating facts. I can’t get enough. I am conflicted by the characters - I was so young when Watergate took place and didn’t understand what was happening, but do remember hearing all those buzz words for years afterward. Instilled in my memory was Nixon, Watergate, and all the players - they were wrong, bad, disgraceful and many other negative adjectives, BUT the way these characters came across I enjoyed watching them play out. At times I rooted for them, I wanted a different outcome, I even felt sympathetic towards some of them. I loved Justin Theraux as G. Gordon Liddy. He was thoroughly fantastic. I did want to learn more about all the players. Stunned by events and people, powers that be and all the lies and woven webs. Dorothy Hunt’s fateful plane crash was piloted by Wendell Whitehouse! Seriously, if it was bizarre and unbelievable - it was the actual truth. The tragedy of so many lives makes me sad. The misplaced trust, unscrupulous power and the corruption. At times is hard to unravel and fathom this was even possible. And yet…
