Ep 20: Training w/ Pain and Symptoms w/ Dr. Trevor Souik PT, DPT
Dr. Trevor and I sit down for a conversation about training with symptoms. We both have a passion for keeping folks healthy, and in the gym, which is vital for someone to progress through the stages of healing.
Just like priming a lawnmower, sometimes we need a little warm-up to get ourselves going.
Be mindful of numbers, while not getting caught up in numbers when it comes to your training and symptom onset is important. Every body is different and there are many contributing variables at play for someone's symptom experience.
Workouts can be a balancing act when managing symptoms. Listen to your body and find that sweet spot where your symptoms don't increase, or increase 1-2 points on a 10 point scale, from baseline during or after your session. That's when you know you've hit the perfect amount of exercise for you! -
Ep 19: Hunt Planning with Jaden Bales of HuntWest

Another resource we talked about was Hunt Reminder to ensure you don't miss deadlines during the spring craziness of application season.
Jaden's Hunt West Weekly Digest is definitely worth the subscription. Be sure to subscribe to his newsletter.
