#212: 2024 Golden Geek Predictions
The 2024 Golden Geek Award nominations have just been revealed, and we're choosing faves, making endorsements, and offering sweeping predictions on which games will win. Oh and by the way, thanks to everyone who voted and nabbed us a nom! Don't worry, we're focused on the games, not shameless self-promotion (well, maybe just a little self-promotion).
Plus, Ben, Jordan, and Paul talk about recent plays of Ironwood, Galactic Cruise, Arcs, and Twilight Imperium. -
#211 Space Games!!
Ben and Jordan talk about recent plays of Inventions, Galactic Cruise, Twilight Imperium, Arcs, and Resist. Plus, discussion about space games — what does the concept of space bring to a game, and what makes a game a SPACE GAME (as opposed to a game set in space).
Notations to come. -

This podcast is on my brain
I have been exploring the hobby of modern board games over the past year, and I have listened to all of the major board game podcasts, and then some. I only discovered Game Brain a couple of weeks ago, and it really is outstandstanding. It's informative, thought-provoking, and entertaining. Also, with diverse content, it has something for a wide range of board gamers.
As a bonus, the YouTube channel (I believe it's called "Game Brain Podcast") has the topics broken into individual segments. I love the concept and execution of this podcast, and I hope it continues for a long time.
It’s all in the game
So it is one of the best pod on the hobby, bar none. The concept being a rotation of members of the same gaming groupe. You get to meet and get attached to them and see who you align with the most. It gives you a great sens of what game you’ll like. 5 stars would listen again.
