Warning: This is NOT a typical parenting podcast! Renee Reina is the mom friend you’ve always wanted and The Mom Room is the podcast you've always needed! Renee is not afraid to challenge parenting practices, ask the hard (and sometimes awkward) questions, tackle taboo topics and say what we're all thinking. From setting boundaries and refusing visitors after giving birth to breaking down why being the default parent is so hard, Renee is exploring and exposing the good, the bad, and the sh*tty parts of parenting. Holding a PhD in psychology in one hand and a diaper bag brimming with snacks in the other, Renee is not trying to “balance” it all and is on a mission to validate, educate, and entertain moms everywhere. So grab the cold cup of coffee you’ve reheated three times, push aside the mom guilt and enter The Mom Room, the #1 podcast for moms!
New episodes every Tuesday and Thursday.

I know you've all heard of mom guilt but, have you heard of partner guilt??? Probably not, because Renee made it up in order to explain annoying guilt feelings she feels in certain situations.

SOLO: Ultimate Bedtime Battles, Not Eating Dinner, and Mom Guilt
EP296. After a week of epic bedtime battles, Renee is finally ready to talk honestly about it! Why does no one talk about the absolute nightmare that can be bedtime battles? They can be emotionally, physically, and mentally exhausting! Renee also discusses a dinner-time issue. Not wanting to eat dinner but then wanting 400 snacks before bed. Finally, Renee wonders if anyone else feels mom guilt when they get home and their partner and child/ren are chilling watching TV. Renee's mom guilt kicks in and she then feels like she has to do ALL THE THINGS for the rest of the day to make up for the TV time while she was out. Book report: The Perfect Couple & On A Quiet Street.

Dr. Cotler on Attachment: What is it and how to foster a secure pattern with your child
EP295. Dr. Tanya Cotler is back to talk all things attachment. What is meant by attachment and having a secure attachment between mother and child? What is NOT attachment? How can we determine what someone's attachment pattern is? How would a securely attached, anxiously attached, and avoidantly attached child react in the strange situation experiment? What does the current research on attachment tell us about how attachment patterns develop? And, how we can understand the 70%/30% mismatch/match ratio that everyone is talking about.

Awesome
I don’t resonate with everything Renee says but I listen to every ep because I like Renee’s take on things, the relate-ability, and the guests she has on.
Relatable!
I love how the topics are so relatable!
I just listened to the bed wetting pod cast with your husband - his voice is so calming! My son is almost 7 and my husband is pushing to take the goodnites away. He seems to think we can train him. I shared this with him and hoping it helps him understand we can't train overnight!! Our son is such a deep sleeper & drinks a lot of water during the day. It was so helpful to feel validated that it's not a major issue!
Love Renee’s Content!
Love following you and listening to your content. Your perspective is so real and relatable! P.S. please do a daily podcast :)
