IN THIS EPISODE: I interview my friend and esteemed colleague, Dr. Sarah Duhon.
Dr. Sarah Duhon has a doctorate in naturopathic medicine and bachelors in the science of nursing. She completed over 200 hours of functional neurology education under the instruction of Dr. Robert Melillo, DC and Dr. Datis Kharrazian, DC through IAFNR, as well as completed a series on multi-system autoimmune diseases instructed by Dr. Shikhman MD through IFSMED.
Dr. Sarah’s passion is to bring an abundance of education to help empower the community to take control of their health, so they may learn to “doctor themselves”. Her passions in natural medicine encompass autoimmune disease, pediatric neurological developmental disorders, and environmental toxicity conditions, as well as naturopathic approaches to treat infertility, promote a healthy pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period. She was a certified lactation counselor in her early years of nursing and continues the education in her medical practice. Dr. Sarah is also married and the mother of two beautiful, healthy boys. She used her personal experience as well as clinical experience to write the book, Preparing for Pregnancy. The Ultimate Step-by-Step Guide to Enhancing Fertility and Nurturing a Healthy Baby Without Sacrificing Your Health.
She is currently consulting at her naturopathic wellness clinic, Illuminate Natural Health, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
