85- Shoulder cases: even experts can miss the mark with Audrey Long PT Pro Talk

    • Health & Fitness

💭 “It looks so much like spine. It would have been easy with him to stay with spine for even longer and not take that 5-10 min to look at his shoulder. And then, there is the opposite, where people leave the spine too quickly and miss not fully clearing the spine. There is a grey area that is difficult for even experienced clinicians to manage at times.`` - Audrey Long

👉🏻Our guest is Audrey Long, BScPT, Dip MDT, CPA, Clinical Specialist MSK. Audrey has over 30 years of clinical experience that started with a few years of hospital work, then 8 years in a chronic worker’s comp multidisciplinary program, and many years now in private practice.  She completed her Diploma Program in New Zealand at Robin McKenzie’s Wellington clinic in 1993 and was promoted to Teaching Faculty in 1997.  Since then, she has taught MDT courses to clinicians across Canada and in the past, courses in the US as well.  Always eager for more knowledge and training, in 2013 she completed the Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (MSK) program recognized through the CPA, in addition to another course that allows her to order diagnostic imaging for patients if indicated.  She has a keen interest in clinical research and has published four research papers pertaining to MDT in the lumbar spine.
